Great List! I grew up on "barbershop" fragrances because of my father, uncle and grandfather introducing me to what they wore. Which is also why I now gravitate towards Aromatic Fougères. Anything classic, clean and masculine but I also love Gourmands, Orientals, Spicy Woods, Ouds, etc. I like how you broke it down and drove home the fact that fragrance is SUBJECTIVE. Polo Green and Eternity are timeless "barbershop type" frags I still own and love.

I know what you mean by addicted to lavender. So maybe the new release of bon parfumeur (if it is accessible in the US) which is called 702 is also one of those fragrances you should test. I´ve already preordered mine.

Penhaligons Sartorial or Fougere d'argent are my go to, my barbers even had a bottle of TF FD that he sprayed on afterwards, a lovely experience.

Great house, try Endymion Concentre for YSL La Nuit De L'homme but better and Cairo...just try it...it's gorgeous. The portrait collection is great too but not much experience.

Hi, Scott! First time checking out the channel. A stunning fougere is Bon Monsieur from Rogue Perfumery. I know he sells a discovery kit on the Rogue website, and Scent Split has a few of his fragrances as well. Well worth checking that one out.

Great video Scott. I agree with the list. I have several of those on your list. Authenticity Barbershop is awesome probably my favorite fougere. Dolce and Gabbana is great as well. Prada Luna Rosa Carbon is a great aromatic fougere too.

I just ordered the DUA clone of Rive Gauche. The OG is too expensive and hard to find for me. I've heard the DUA one is pretty close. I'll keep you posted when I receive it soon 👍

You did not mention Dior Eau Sauvage from 1966. I was in High School when that 1st came out. Because I'm a Senior I got TF Beau de Jour at a retail store here in Canada for $200 CDN(145 USD).. I remember when barbers still shaved & had a row of after-shaves along the mirror. OH,the good old days! Cheers from Vancouver.

Not sure how much you are into clones but definitely pick up a sample of River Fougere and Invasion of the Barbers from Dua.

@@scottaromatico4712 the original is called Invasion Barbare by MDCI Parfums. I’ve not tried it but it’s hyped as one of the best barbershop fragrances, very expensive though, so the Dua sounds intriguing....

Hey buddy love me them old school barbershop fragrances for sure great selection ya threw out there ,have ya ever considered mdci le barbier de Tangier’s or invasion barbier both pricey but apparently superb flagship barbershop scents ,and creeds bois de Portugal which you can get an excellent clone of by Lalique,Lalique por Homme .the lions head one it’s super for the money .peace out ✌️

Authenticity Barbershop 💈 smells just like a very strong Shaving cream very clean & soapy it’s different from eternity
A great cheapie is Paul Sebastian also azzaro pour homme. And drakkar noir .
And if you want to spend the money aqua di Parma has several that are fantastic and my personal favorite creed royal water.

In my opinion one of the best barbershop Fragrances is Rive Gauche Pour Homme YSL.
Paco Rabanne Pour Homme is other great fragrance. I had some years ago!! But last reformulation is not good.
Other great Fragrance is Le Male (vintage) from JPG.

Jpg not a barbershop , barbershops are light , fresh and clean not a sweet woody vanilla cinnamon , its too dense
With its smooth blend of lavender, mint and vanilla, I would suggest Le Male is more of a contemporary take on a barbershop fragrance.
