  • Probably the best In Gowan Ring song...it is from a limited cdr called "Full Flower Moon (Folklore Of The Moon, Volume 3)(2005)" so calm...so mellow...so bittersweet....beauty is in the ears of the listener....indulge
LIMPID BROOK - IN GOWAN RING
    When I was a child
    You had appeared to me
    On one May moonlit night
    In verdant meadow
On bank of the limpid brook
Three, as equals in Grace and modesty
Queens, all three Full of majesty
    In verdant meadow
On bank of the limpid brook
    You stepped toward me
    In robes, floating like mist
    I, as your child
You enticed me To your proud breast
I am drawn close To diaphanous light
    In my clenched hands
    Your bosom, white
    Upon your fruitful mana
    I gratefully feed
    When I was a child
    You had appeared to me
    On one May moonlit night
    In verdant meadow
On bank of the limpid brook
Three, as equals in Grace and modesty
Queens, all three Full of majesty
    In verdant meadow
On bank of the limpid brook

It is taken from the second chant, a small excerpt from the chapter starting with the words "O mathématiques sévères". The song was originally called "Muses Three" and B told during concerts that the song is based on words written by Lautreamont.

Wonderful song. By the way, the lyrics are actually taken from "The Chants Of Maldoror" by Lautreamont.

Wonderful!! I'm a huge fan of In Gowan Ring/Birch Book, but I missed out on this ep. There has been talk about reissuing this on vinyl, I really hope it will be.

Are you sure about that? i have read the chants ages ago and all i remember of it is pain misanthropy and decadence entwined harmonically with poetry. can you please give me a link of where i can find them or which chapter of the book can be found in? i just wrote them down by ear.

chant deuxieme has a bit about momentary inspiration toward positivity by a bosomy triple goddess of mathematics:
