Super useful video. My G703 has started double-clicking, Logitech don't seem interested in replacing it so I've ordered some GM8's. Sunday project sorted!
@@entsfps I live in a really dry climate area.. and I heard that the switches doesn't work well for too long in these conditions.. which switch is the best one to change for? this one in the video? Or there are any other better option?
So therapeutic to watch your videos @Ents Anyone that hasn't gotten a switch swap done by him I highly recommend him if you are thinking of getting a switch swap done. I got my G Pro X Superlight done with GM 8.0s and I love them.
Which switches would you say are then best for games that require lots of clicking? I play league of legends and the g403 20ms are a bit too heavy for me. Would omron 50 ms or Kialh 8.0 fit my needs the best?
my scroll wheel click does double click sometimes. im planning on swapping all the switches in the mouse. can i just use a 2 pin square switch like the kailh silent square 7.3mm height as a replacement or is it some special/ propitiatory switch?
Nice thanks for the video. i will be doing same replacement later!!.. however there's another problem in my mouse.. mouse1+mouse2 hold/press doesn't work.. individual button works but pressing them simutaneuosly doesnt.. do you have any idea how to fix this or is it related to the switches?
@@entsfps done replacing the switches! no more double clicks, thanks.. and i found a forum thread about my problem.. apparently it's a logitech mouse problem, no way to fix it, only item replacement if still in warranty. :(
Hey Ents. I'm not so sure where/how to place the spring for the right button. I left it out for now and the right button feels mushy/there's like a pretravel. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
Is this heavier than the stock switches in the g703? I was wondering which mouse switch would be better for this mouse, would the Kailh GM 4.0 be a good choice or are there better options?
I would like to know from anyone if they did this a while ago and how the switches are holding up? I ordered everything I need + more to do this myself (upgrading feet to hyperglides + tools and soldering gun) I have had this mouse for less than 5 months and left click is already dying. This is third one for me. How are your Kailh GM 8 switches holding up everyone? I'm very curious if they will last longer
How did you get the switch out and new switch in without removing the copper rings? It didnt come out so simply and the ring came off, so I tried the other side too and was extra careful, but the same thing happened. Is it too much heat? Do I need to use desolder?
I have changed switches. 2 days later it started to double click the same way. Some posts on reddit point out to firmware but it didnt help too. Any ideas?
Hello I need your help...I have 1.logitech g400s 2.razer deadthadder croma Both having left click issues And Stock switch are same as well "Omron d2fc-f-7n (20m)" Can you name few good quality switches and their model no. Thanks!
i tried to do this on my g703 but i think i messed up the desolding part, you make it look so easy to remove the switch. It took me forever and i think i ended up removing the entire copper ring around the 3 prongs on the circuit board, anyone know a way to fix that or am i screwed?
@@entsfps wow i didnt know they sell those, thanks so much! ill have to buy those, luckily i had multiple g703's since i RMA'ed it when i was under warranty so i still have a spare, unless i mess up again hah
yeah but in reality all they want is the debounce double click bs from model o software like any logitech "double clicking" issue would not give you more clicks consistently it just is a shit switch when it isnt working right
Yeah, that's a shitton of screws, plus you need a soldering iron, and a pair of hands that don't have the gift of f*ckin things up. Such an expensive mouse, it was the last time I've spent this kind of money on one because they clearly are not built to last. Now the problem is, which one to buy...
Old video but i have two g703 one of which is a RMA and started to 2x click like the original one i had. Am excited i ordered GM 4.0 and a pair of pink dots. Going to fix two mice for like 20 bucks total. Thanks for the video. Also used ur promo code @ lethalgamingn thanks dude
Had my G703 fixed by ENTS, he did a great job

Imma order that switch and try to do it, thanks. That double click is getting annoying and i'm surprised mouse for that price could cause it so fast
I did this myself and it turned out great!
is there a sound difference between left and right click with both kailh gm 8?
@@aronamante4039 There is a difference with the new switches but I don't remember how it sounded before. It doesn't seem like a problem to me.

too hot of an iron, mine is set to 350c

many mouse bases are now very thin or have holes so applying heat can permanently melt the bottom plate of the mouse
