Mix, I'm a fairly new sub. I picked you up after I saw your Fuller interview with Hank Strange. You have become an excellent interviewer. Not because your are like every other plastic copy of other guys but because you have a peace and calm about you that brings people in. I look forward to your work and appreciate the time and energy that you put into it. Just wanted to say thanks man.
I noticed the loose trim on the locker beside the fridge.... i also noticed that he tried a couple of times to nonchalantly close it...... unsuccessfully. ..... and that it never ended up getting closed..... for 195k, i better not be having loose trim and doors that stick open.
Excellent vid as usual, thanks for taking us with you. If I had the cash to burn I'd buy one of these, it looks very well done and has all I'd need for a month of hunting, I mean camping- just in case my Wife sees this.
Jeffrey Harris nope! this guy has either no clue or they are selling a stupid rig: de.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mercedes-Benz_LK these Mercedes trucks were sold with 4 cylinders, BUT not as 917!!! 917 means (at least all over Europe) 9 tons and 170 hp, witch is roughly the same engine in some unimogs. 4 cy engines have been installed in 6 ton versions - that would be waaaaay to less for this kind of shelter! everybody should keep in mind that these Mercedes are up to 30 years old. this in Germany one of the cheapest 4x4 trucks you can buy today: 7- 10k€! this would mean that the shelter + some work is done for - what ? - 185.000$ ¿¿¿¿??? this is ridicules! you can get a BRAND NEW MAN TGM 13-240 4x4 for 60k! 13 ton and 240! HP. With 130.000$ you can easily get something similar or better !!!!! A shelter like that can be build from 20-30k empty + 5k for the additional frame incl installation and you are still UNDER 100k all brand new...
In the US it is really hard to get something like this for less money. You can't get a 4x4 cabover medium truck with a manual transmission new. Maybe you can find a ten year old Fuso, and it will give you similar performance and reliability to a 30 year old Mercedes 917. There are very few companies in the US selling vehicles with this form factor under $200k, and they every one uses an inexpensive chassis. You pay for the quality and the engineering. You also pay because it is unique or rare. It is a high profit business.
You are correct sir ! Singles for sure. The reversed rims on the rears tricked me. Now I'm wondering if that single tire is big enough to carry the weight.....
This camper was at a shop up in Springfield va for a while I came across it once
mixflip your channel is so entertaining. I love the outdoor vehicle, tech, lights, and firearm coverage. I look forward to years of videos from you!
