    Thanks so much. It got stuck in Calc Clean mode all morning and took 6 cycles of cleaning before I spotted your posting. Now, I can enjoy a fresh brew again. You saved my day.

    Thanks for this. Mine was stuck in rinse mode after decalc and would never end! This fixed it.

    Hello from Greece. Great info. Can i ask something else: how can you reset the espresso volume to factory settings, after programming it to your preferences?

      Not sure you can do a factory reset, but you can re-program as many times as you would like. Just re-program again to the size of your choice.

      It might help to turn off, unplug for a few seconds, then plug in. Reset your volume to desired level.

    Do you know if this works on other Saeco machines like the Minuto Focus for example?

      We never had to do this type of reset on a minuto.

      Thanks...I am searching now as my descaler will not complete and my machine is useless right now. Also the pump doesn't stop when the water bin is empty so maybe a bad sensor? If i could get out of the descaling mode, i could at least still use the machine.

      And I did try this on my Minuto Focus but it didn't get me out of descale mode.

      When the machine runs out of water during the descale cycle do not shut off the machine or interrupt the descale allow it to struggle without water, and then it will continue to the next step.

    How about when the descaling cycle doesnt work properly? It dispenses water out the steam wand, stops, about 30 seconds go buy and and it shoots water our wand again while hot water light is on. Just repeats forever until the tank is out of H2O and all lights go on until I restart the machine. Any ideas?

    A thousand thanks to you my friend...an admonition to saeco/phillips for saying zero about this in the manual. I mean, first principle of electronics is that every device must have a reset function, right ? Why keep it a secret ?
