I started to watch your videos and initially did not know what to think. Then I realized, you REALLY know your stuff. This video is my favorite so far because the subject is of interest to me. First, I have never gone on the Yacht Club, I was a NCL Haven guy. Second, my Explora Journeys Cruise is in a OT2 with twin beds. Your idea of using the cushions from the daybed won my over. Bravo. Thank you for taking the time to share your knowledge. It is appreciated. Cruise well and enjoy every moment.
Thank you so much for taking the time to give this precious feedback. It is important for me to understand what you enjoy. And double thanks, my next cruise will be in Haven 😉🙏
I believe you are going to love it. You are in for a treat. I can relate to that, My excitement was building up with each day of countdown to my cruise. 90 days before you will be able to check in already in the app. Then book restaurants 😉
I’ve been on 20+ cruises so far and finally hd the chance to try the yacht club on the MSC Seashore this past summer. It was the best experience I’ve had on a cruise. I have not tried and Explora ship yet, but I think the yacht club offers more just but having a regular cruise ship attached to it.
Yacht Club is a great experience, and the MSC Seashore is a very nice ship, I like the Seaside class a lot, and having the "regular" ship attached 🤣 (love that visual) offers as well the possibility of "regular" cruise activities, particularly the Broadway style shows. Thanks for taking the time to share, much appreciated 🙏
Very, very good video comparison of Yacht Club & Explora. My wife and I have found the best value for what we look for in our cruise experience in the MSC Yacht Club. We had thought about giving Explora a try, but there's no need when we consider everything we love in the Yacht Club - why leave? Your comment on the coziness with the Yacht Club staff and what feels lost with World Europa is exactly how I felt, and I could not have said it better. World Europa sails in the port heavy Mediterranean with passengers embarking/disembarking every day and I think that plays a part in what we feel about it (I hope at least). I hope the Yacht Club on World America regains that cozy familiarity we've gotten used to here in the Caribbean. We booked the Royal Suite on World America sailing June 28, 2025 from the new terminal in Miami, and I can't wait to embark aboard. Thank you for this great video!
Hi Fred, awesome, and it has been a long time since I see you. Thanks for checking the video and for taking the time for your feedback. Much appreciated. These are two great experiences, in the end of the day, your cruise experience is what you have found to be what you like. I love exploring (no pun intended), thus always trying new things. Have a great time on board 🤗
Great comparison Alex! Quite interesting and informative. Have 2 Yacht Clubs coming up including World America and the Explora II. Looking forward to them. BTW: LOVE your wine cabinet and coffee station!
Thanks, the wine is important 😉 and needs to be at hand. The coffee and wine at hand, with the ship models and memorabilia allow for conversation starters with guests. Let's open a bottle?
@dawnhb19 did not know about that one. Already got it into my Vivino wish list 😉 will certainly try it. BTW, I have a few great stories with Champagne... One on a Swiss flight, and another on Yacht Club 😉😎
At last. A man after my own heart. What is life without wine, coffee and ship models? On Preziosa, we have just finished the first of our four winter Yacht Club trips. Our next is on the same class of ship, Fantasia. Our recent experience of YC was exactly as you described in that our butler, the sommelier and the rest of the YC crew were magnificent. However, looking to next year, Explora Journey's is in our sights but we are going to make a decision after our final trip in April. Now, with the benefit of one trip and your analysis, so far, it seems there is a high bar for Explora to jump!
Thank you so much 🙏 for taking the time to provide feedback, and for the motivation. And yes, coffee, wine and ship models 😜 I have 3 more cruises booked on Explora. I have Explora II in May, and two Explora I sailings in August, back to back. So looking forward to those experiences. I loved my time on Explora, I love my experiences on Yacht Club. Well, I love sailing and being pampered 🤣
@russefrance4869 thank you so much. Indeed, I will ask all the subscribers (just as before) if they want me to revisit any topic, or something I missed.
We've done Yacht Club on the Seashore twice, the second was a three day cruise. I loved the 7 day cruise, but the three day was not as good of an experience. We have Explora II booked in September so we are super excited. I'm curious if MSC's new drink policy will change the vibe. I love not having to show my card or scan my wrist band for every drink, but I've heard their 15 drink limit is in effect for the Yacht Club as well. I know it would be a rare day that I would hit that number but I hate the idea that I would have to keep track.
Yes, a 3 day cruise feels like a booze cruise. I like the cruise around the 10 day, so the 3+7 is what I like 😃 Don't think Explora will practice the 15 alcoholic drinks limit, but I will check that next time I board (in May). It does feel weird measuring the qty of drinks at the Yacht Club, especially in the Top Sail Lounge, cards are never shown. Will see how people react and how the cruise company will adapt. Anyway, I believe you will enjoy Explora a ton, it is a great experience.

Hi Alex! Great information!
Wow, thank you so much. What an honour 🙏
Good work with this video, interesting to hear your reflection. Keep up the good work with all the content, looks good 👍
Hi Chris, thank you so much for your continuous feedback and continued motivation. Much appreciated. Enjoy life with family one cruise at a time 😉
Great video. We've done a couple of Yacht Club trips and have an Explora 1 cruise booked for April. I can't wait to see the difference.

@Alexafter50 Sounds like a plan to me! And that's an excellent way to start a great conversation.
@dawnhb19 I think the sommelier will ask you precisely that at your next cruise on World America 😉
@Alexafter50 I hope so. Found a good champagne if you haven't had it already, Haton 2016.
