I just found your channel tonight, God has graciously given me many words lately, all of which are directly related to his insistence that I need to dig into the Word no excuses. I've spent the last few months preparing for this very type of journey; not as seasoned as a pastor but I went to seminary for 2 years then spent 10 years in the wilderness; I've returned with very little knowledge or comprehension from 10 years ago and God must've decided I needed to start from scratch. The conviction in me to finish what He started has been beautifully devastating and I find so much solace when He *serendipitously* nudges me into discovering channels like yours . Thank you so much ❤️✨

I have read the Bible through multiple times but have gotten away from daily reading. Thank you for your encouragement. Especially the reminder to start small.

Start small! And then build up to it.

Your journey kinda sounds like mine. Around 2019 I decided to get serious about reading the whole Bible consistently. It was just a cheap $25 CSB, and by the time I was reading thru twice a year, the cover was ruined.
That’s when I discovered RUclips’s premium Bible reviewers… 😂 My first Quentel was *such* a joy to read that I soon added an evening session, and then decided I needed to read thru some other translations. So… NASB Quentel, and the ESV, and NKJV. 😂
I’m now on my second year of reading a different translation every three months, and it’s just such a joy. I find I now remember stuff I would forget when I was just reading once per year… it was being reinforced more often and “sticking” better.

Wow! I'm inspired to read a different translation each time now. That's cool. Thanks for sharing.

Hi Joe, it was good to hear part of your bible reading testimony today, and also how you have encouraged others to dig deep into the word of God. A couple of things from my bible reading: one is that I started hand writing the bible in a NKJV journal the word hardcover using a .3 super fine blue ink pen. I write super tiny! Secondly, I took up a challenge not so long ago to read the entire bible in a month, so I did it in 21 days! It was definitely speed reading and I did it in the single column Schuyler Treveris KJV using a 6” ruler to go line by line. It is amazing how much the brain retains even doing this. I am someone who does love the word and reads every day, plus am doing a daily reading plan for the ESV online this year for the first time while reading my NASB Schuyler Quentel in my hand as well. I was saved in ‘17 and have always been hungry for the word, praise the Lord. Both these things are on my channel, the speed reading in 21 days and writing the bible. God’s blessings to you my brother.

@@joesbibles5636 Yes, Joe, actually am reading it currently alongside the NASB Schuyler Quentel black pearl calfskin, f/y which has to be my very last bible purchase! NASB is new to me and I love it! It is very KJV in many respects, too, since I have been comparing bible translations with IT. MY Turquoise is NKJV, so am revisiting that in the evening with the NASB in the daytime. Thanks for having a look at some of my vids, too. I really need to add the NASB review soon after having it 2 months so far. 😀📖💟✝️

This was the first video I watched of yours and let me say thank you for sharing!! I have experienced as well that the times that I read just to read and end up feeling discouraged…. But the times that I read seeking to be transformed are the times that I just can’t put the Word of God down… hope to see more about your journey in the next videos!

Great! Thanks for the comment and I agree. The times where I'm seeking God to be transformed are the most meaningful times of Bible reading.

Awesome! Great video. I like following your different reading plans on YouVersion and thoroughly enjoyed reading through the Gospels with you earlier this year. Give me an early heads up and I might do another plan with you later this year. Looking forward to more videos in your Bible Reading Journey. Blessings Brother.

Great video. I never have read it all the way through, I suffer from ADD, I love doing devotions tho. I would like to start color coding my scriptures. I just dont really understand how to do that. Which verses to which color. Stuff like that.

Thanks for the comment. Doing devotions are great. As a pastor leading his congregation I'm deeply convicted of reading through the Bible once a year.

Just pick colors. Any color you want for whatever topic m, just start. Don’t wait another day for any reason or no reason.

Keep up the good work, brother. Do you have certain Bibles that you read in certain places? Did you do most of your reading at a desk, a recliner, in the bed, or what?

@msctshrly Thanks for the comment and questions. Maybe I will address those in the next video. Thanks for the encouragement, too.
