    I love her cooking she's very precise in her dishes and she takes great care of her cooking which is a plus for me. However in my opinion this dish shouldn't take 2 hours way too long just cooking with beef. I understand if you're cooking a dish like Curry that would be time consuming

    Your mom said that it is okay for eggs in a Kor Sach Chruk but not with beef. Is there anything different about a pork Kor besides the meat?

    • @HarrLable
      @HarrLable 10 лет назад +3

      Nope. She's just saying traditionally eggs aren't added with the beef version. My mom makes it all the time using beef and egg together. It's fine to make it however you want.

      first, they are two different dish but similar. kor beef is an distinct dish from any other meat such as fish, pork and so on. the pork you can add eggs (in general they do but not with fish. fish is too fragile.) for the beef dish, we usually serve it with noodle (yellow noodle or package MAMA brand noodle, and along with various of vegetable like bean spout, slide cucumber, another fresh herb with the soup water. and serve it with lots of soup water. for fish dish and other meats, especially fish, you serve with vegetable but not soup like, in the a bowl like so. instead treat the water like source. and if people add egg they usually and the treat the soup water like a sauce when they eat, instead of like a soup. there fore they tend to very more sweet then the soup like. and tend to serve it with rice. however, cooking about preferences and freestyle, so before you cook, you first have to decide do you want to serve as soup or sauce like? then you can put the right amount of sugar and water to achieve the outcome you prefer. so really the differences is treated it like a sauce or soup. but in cambodia kor beef is a especif dish that serve at market and they serve with noodle. i hope it kind of can clear your ambiguous between the two types of dish. :)
