    Thank you, Karl! I think I've watched all of your cockpit reviews now, even though you talked me into this TITAN very early on. I'm currently waiting with as much patience as I can muster for it to arrive here in Vermont. The seat seems to be here, but the cockpit itself is stuck in the UK for an "operational delay." Painful! I've been using a wheelstand I made with warped 2x4s I found in my garage for a couple of years and that thing is all wobble. I've got some slippers under one corner like a bad table at a cafe pedals loose on the floor. I'm using an old leather armchair that is both too high and super sweaty. Driving that now seems so distasteful, but waiting for a whole extra week for delivery before racing again seems just as bad. I guess I'll just keep watching all your videos to keep myself distracted.
    Thanks again! Definitely subscribed!

    Hey Karl, wanted to thank you for this excellent review. Helped me make the purchase decision and I am extremely pleased with it. It went well with the GT DD pro 8Nm and load cell pedal.
    Another thing worth mentioning is GT Omega's amazing after sales support. I had an issue with the shifter bracket mounting (was mounting at an angle, not 90 deg), they went out of their way to sort it out . Tested working parts at their facility in Scotland and shipped it all the way to Aus.

    Cracking review, I bought one of these in December as my TSXW was a nightmare bolted to my cheap desk, been really impressed with it, takes me stamping on the brake of the T-LCMs without any problems, I've been meaning to record a vid to review it as there weren't any when I looked but still struggling for parts to build a new PC to do anything productive. But yeah, 3 months use, no issues at all, they don't offer a handbrake mount for it which is annoying, but if you buy the apex mount it does fit in place of the shifter upright, not as good on adjustment, but it gets you through. Anyone tempted by this will be pleased, like Karl says, for the money, it's brilliant.

    RUclips needed a comprehensive review of this rig. I've had mine for a couple of months and I love it. Zero complaints and I have my VRS DFP DD wheel mounted to it and works great (I did have to assemble the mounting feet in and drill 4 holes into the Titan base plate to get it on).
    Great review and keep up the good work!

    • @MrTurtletraxx
      @MrTurtletraxx 3 года назад

      @Gabe Chapman: I have the VRS also. How is the flex? Also, I have Heusinkveld Sprints. How is the pedal tray flex? I've heard that they have improved the design.

    • @GabeChapman
      @GabeChapman 3 года назад

      @@MrTurtletraxx
      Like I said, I had to drill 4 holes and turn the sides of the VRS mount inward to fit on the wheel mounting plate, so the feet turn in and not out. That took some foresight and a bit of patience. The mounting of the Sprints didn’t need modification, but again took some foresight and patience. Not bad as long as you know where it needs to go and where you want everything, aiming to do everything once.
      As for flex on the foot plate, there is some. I can’t give an amount, but it’s there when really mashing the pedals. Does it bother me and hinder my performance, I don’t think so. The flex on the wheel is almost non existent, and flexes in a direction that should really be apparent when operating the wheel. We really have to consider the price, and if this is the max on your available budget, then we can forgive the amount of flex it allows and there is no better option. If you can spend more than twice as much and get a cockpit made of aluminum profile like the TR80, then that’ll afford zero flex.

    • @MrTurtletraxx
      @MrTurtletraxx 3 года назад +1

      @@GabeChapman Yes, I had to turn the mounting hardware inward on the NRL GTUltimate V2 cockpit, also. I added an additional 1/8" aluminum plate for a little beefiness. I can counter any pedal flex with a wood block. I am very hard on the brakes. Love my VRS.

    Nice review. I have this cockpit. I used your discount code which was great. I do think the pedal tray flexes a little but i have made a modification of adding a couple of angle brackets (£10) to support at the front which has helped. I dont recall having an issue with the m8 holes and m6 bolts. I use elite pedals with LC and 85 rubber springs - set on 70 brf. I do plan to get clubsport v3 pedals and attach the directly to the base. You could also fit a different pedal base plate (Heusinkveld) if you wanted. You can also get 6 m8 locking casters from amazon instead of the standard feet which makes it easy to move.

    • @raptorrooney
      @raptorrooney 3 года назад

      Hey. Could you describe exactly what you have done with the angled brackets? Really interested

    • @psimmoaz
      @psimmoaz 3 года назад

      @@raptorrooney I have two right angle steel brackets, on each side e.g. shelf supports. I drilled a hole in each side of the pedal base and also in the pedal floor and bolted them on. It supports each side of the pedal plate near the front and prevents pretty much all the flex. difficult to explain without a pic. As Karl said if you dont use the pedal base you will also get minimal flex. I plan change to pedals with angle adjustment so wont need the pedal plate.

    Excellent review. I've had this rig for a few months now, and for the price I'm really happy with it. Perfect for my mid-range Fanatec gear, but not sure it would hold up with a direct-drive wheel. I also thought the pedal tray was to high, so purchased some matte black 20/60 aluminium profile to raise the seat up, and is now a more comfortable GT style seating position.
