It was developed by Paradigm Entertainment and published by Atari, Inc. in 2004 for the PlayStation 2, Xbox, and GameCube. Terminator 3: The Redemption received "mixed or average" reviews according to Metacritic. It was praised for its graphics and was considered an improvement over an earlier game, titled Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines. However, the gameplay was criticized as linear, repetitive, and difficult.

I remember playing this too, but I also remember this being buggy as hell, right after I finished the very short campaign it wouldn't allow me to ever play this again!?
Skynet was against it & terminated the replayability, probably wanted me just to buy another copy... 🤔
This was my childhood game. I remember not really being the age of fully understanding what was going on story-wise but I was smart enough to play the game right. I still have this game today but sadly I don't have my Xbox anymore to play it. I'll forever hold it as a relic of time I first started my love for gaming!

Easily one of the best ever Terminator games. Although so very, VERY unnecessarily HARD!!! (The shooting sections were amazing, but those damn timed vehicle sections with NO margin for error whatsoever were a PAIN)

I can tell that if this developer had been given more time and a bigger budget they could have taken this game from "a short game that was surprisingly much better than I expected" to "holy shit this epic masterpiece is how licensed games need to be made."

Yeah it's nice change of pace when there's a good licensed game. Other examples I can think of is Peter Jackson's King Kong, and that one Hulk game based off the movie from the early 2000s.
Combine this with Resistance (specifically, Infiltrator mode).
Is that why? This game has some serious problems. The timed car chase is too difficult and it isn't obvious that you need to drive through the signs to find hidden off roads. There's no indication of what controls you use to make Arnold grab things. There are parts of this game that are great. But I bet most people never finished this game and that makes them hate it and never want to play again.
This is still my favourite Terminator game.
This game was and still is incredible.
Terminator resistance is due out soon yet T3 Redemption is still so much better and offers so much more gameplay wise.
Some of my favourite points of this game are:
1) you play as Schwarzeneggers Terminator
2) controllable vehicles (or machines)
3) it felt like it fit right into the Terminators overall eerie world.
4) awesomw soundtrack.
5) Schwarzeneggers skin came off when in combat revealing the t800 medal endo skeleton. Haven't seen this be done since.

travis stoner yeah I remember that I got stuck so long on that level where you had to go through the tunnels to reach the time machine and it got me sooo pissed off but when I completed that level I was Sooo happy

Played this game when I was extremely young and its probably my first gaming memory. Literally have flash back memories to it all the time so I decided to Google it and realised how little through this game I made it.
I remember playing this when i was so young with my Grandma who passed Terminator was my hero since i was like 6 i tried getting her to play it and all she could do was run into walls as she giggled

The lifelong fan in me loved how it tied in with the film and gave us a glimpse of the events leading to the 3rd film 😊, I loved this game for the same reason I loved Salvation " the dark future " .. also if you activated certain cheats you got bonus material not in the film like the hilarious " Officer Tandy" .. Arnold's comic relief 🤣

i remember renting this from hollywood video( throwback) during my thanksgiving break 1 year in middle school. Hands down one the most enjoyable games i have ever played

It's a shame how this plot has been the formula for 2 other terminator films that flopped as well. Terminator Dark Fate, and Terminator Gensys both features terminators that were nearly identical in concept to the TX. Terminator 3 was probably the best out of all those turds too, but I'm still not 100% certain about Dark Fate yet. It's interesting that this game actually improved upon the plot by throwing the terminator forward in time with the particle accelerator. The game developers were on to something, by giving fans of series more future war scenes which is what Terminator fans really want. The bad thing about the game is it's a cash in much like the movie was, and does some plot explaining in a hand wavey/go watch the movie type manner. It could have been a lot better in this respect. I see what it's trying to do, and I think to myself this could be like uncharted if the developers spent a bit more time on how this played. Some of the ideas in here are solid despite it being a rush to cash in on the brand name.
Despite the mixed reviews Terminator 3 Redemption got I actually generally loved playing this game as a kid! Sure the controls are a little clunky and repetitive at times but it was the most fun I’ve had at playing a Terminator game! It was more fun than Salvation at least but it was difficult at certain points. And yeah Dark Fate was a massive flop. Same old rehashed storyline that has been done to death several times over with less interesting characters, a convoluted plot, unoriginal, no future war just glimpses of it (again), and completely disgraceful to the first 2 films. For me the Terminator franchise ends at T2: Battle Across Time. I really hope they don’t make anymore crappy sequels.
The part where the Terminator ends up in the future where Skynet reigns Supreme was one of the many ideas discussed while Terminator 3 was in pre production

This game has some awesome killer machines in it. The FK Reaper gives off Cane from Robocop 2 energy, which totally rules. That being said, I'll always prefer Stan Winston's designs for the Tanks and Aerials.

The Terminator was a really scary and ruthless character in the original movie. T2 onwards ruined it, giving it cringey fucking catchphrases, and making it a sidekick to some bumblefuck human character. Hearing a T-800 saying "talk to the hand" still stings

Pretty much the best terminator game experiemence out there. Up course in the modern day setting there very few enemies so most of it was chase battles. Could of made fighting the cops but I understand no killing

why does it feel like the game skips forward at certain points? like when you immediately show up at the cemetery after the chase? really bad presentation. This was one of the games I always wanted to play as a kid but never got the chance.

No matter how good these grapics are , bu If this is a full game it's very short game. I never was Terminator fan anyway , but I m just starting lerning how good the franchise is and gona be. Not bad at all. :)

I'm really thinking about getting this game & giving it another chance I bought it in like 07 & really didn't commit time to learn how to play it. I have The other T3 game & when you get to the 2003 missions there's not any real action except towards the end. This looks like it is action packed.
