So the SnowRunner devs have since added a log carrier addon for certain trucks, including the Azov 73210, 5319 and Pacific P12. This did not exist before my video! My guide to the best trucks for logging is coming soon, just updating the info and retesting stuff.
I love this game. I am an equipment operator/log truck driver. This game is so addictive even though I haul logs for 12 hours a day. Great job. Again this is my favorite game
As somebody with the "luxury" of using log cranes on a regular basis irl, I think I should highlight how terrifying these things are. The wrist of the claw swings freely as to not damage components and cannot be controlled by the operator. There's been a few moments where I've had multiple 12+ foot logs in the grapple suddenly decide to swing towards my cab. It may be a cosmetic item in snowrunner, but having a steel grille around your cab saves lives, I love that they included it on some trucks
My logging setup would definitely be an Azov 73210, with Log-Loader, and Log Carrier Front, then trailer would be Log Carrier Rear/Log Trailer to be able to do Long and Medium without a trip to garage. And a Tayga with Saddle low, having Sideboard Bed. Where you load the logs is on Sideboard bed. Then when on destination, load the logs from sideboard bed semi-trailer to log carrier front/log trailer. This allows you to carry multiple logs, because they are on the semi-trailer sideboard bed. Downside, you need to pay a lot more attention because the logs aren't secured onto the trailer and possibly can bounce off your trailer.
The White Western Star, International Paystar 5070 and the International HX520 can use the medium log carrier frame addon with the medium log trailer. Which is better than having to haul one medium log load at a time. There's probably more trucks that can do this as well but, I've only tested these three so far.
I'm new, meaning only a couple of week's into this game. Watching various video's, I've learned that one should get to the fire tower's first to make the map visable. And in the process, look for and accept any and all task's to do later. Once the whole map is visable, do the various task, once done, start the various contract's. Doing the contest only cause's one to get more money and or XP, which is a whole different subject. My question is: As I've traveled the various maps in Michigan in my Yar to the various fire tower's and such. There are road's that only a Tar or other such scout can or could drive on due to various rock formation's being so thin even scout's have issue's with getting damaged. I'm really really REALLY interested in logging and wonder just how does one if they are envolved in driveing down the same road's, drive down the extremly narrow road's only scout's can do.
Usually logging areas have wider paths than scouting trails. Although there are different sized trucks that can do logging, which can also factor into what you decide to drive!
I've got one modified YAR, and four Azov's AGL 73210's with different load outs and one Zikz with the large log lodding jaws. Though I've spent more time with getting mods to work than I've actually played the past couple of week's since getting the anniversary edition from steam. Which I do on a separate game save when there are four available. My main save is done all using the game plus mode, which is basically a modding tool. Using it, I've got what when one can buy anything they want in real life have everything that is obtainable, obtainable providing one has sufficent funds. Starting from scratch using the game plus, I sell all my dlc trucks, find and sell all other truck's in the game. And with those funds. Purchase the various basically two trucks, though one has multiple's of it. I love this game, but the addition of mods and the various convolutedness of them make's modding really an issue. Using game plus, allow's one to buy pass all the crap, and start playing the game as one would in real life having sufficent funds, to purchase anything they want.

Favorite driving game of all time Need for Speed 2 on PlayStation. There were codes where you could drive the traffic cars and even the outhouse. Of course I’m a huge fan of Grand Turismo
One thing I hope Saber changes is the fuel of the P512, how it stands atm, just just a remodeled ANK with addons, but no suspension and tire options and locked behind a Pay wall because of the 200l fuel tank and the Westline V12, which are both ismn the ANK as well. Don't get me wrong, I do like the ANK, it's just the 200l tank is empty after ten minutes of using the ANK, and I fear the P512 will end the same way.
It needs some tweaks, I agree. Not really worth buying or using over a lot of other trucks, including the ANK in terms of ability (but obviously not versatility).

@@docbaduck If I remember correctly, you had the logging buildings and whatnot but that was all. At the time it felt like the devs would bolster each map with new tasks, not just logging, but that never happened. Not yet, anyway.
Snow runner not having ski resorts and PistenBully (snow groomers)? How about a community vote? Just imagine, doing lanes for cross-country skiers, clearing avalanche, building ski trick parks, or ski jumps, relocating snow cannons.

Maybe a mod will change it, but I could see that being a large challenge if that was something that was never intended.
Cannot find the video where you set the challenege for going from one yukon garage tothe other My results :- Twinsteer (failed due to roll) Tayga 7 minutes40 Voron AE - 7,mins 28 ANK Gave up after rolling it in 5 seperate attempts Voron D 8minutes 5 the succesful runs are after 5 attempts each and those were the best times, (driving fast in Snowrunner is just not something I do I am happy to taz about at a medium speed with less disasters lol). That said it was funny to try. Maybe you could come up with some more community challeges like this?
@@ATribeCalledCars TBf I prop should ahve tried other then just mud tyres but eh lot of boggy ground and idk if its just the ps4 version but you can hit some patches of soft ground on the Yukon maps and you literally stop dead with the Rear of the trucking going up in the air with the momentum lol.

My graphics card destroyed my pc and i fixed my pc but I can't afford a new graphics card, and now I'm depressed because I can't play SnowRunner :( Sometimes you just have those days This was like 2 weeks ago and it happened on my birthday no less, so yeah it was a great day, I also spent 4 hours driving home in a frickin hurricane

@@ATribeCalledCars It seems like a lazy and unnecessary way to add new content to the game. I've spent days dragging dozens of log trailers around maps which I've already completed and it's really ruined my experience with Snowrunner. Logging feels like a real job.
stupid log, im playing alone and the quest asked me to bring 6 medium logo and 3 long means i need to go forward and back 9 times you kidding me !! what make me angry that if you loud 3 log and pack it will transfer to many logs all of these is just 1 pack of log still 8 left.
Nope, for medium if you get the right truck, get a medium frame, and attach and winch 2 trailers to haul 3 at a time. Long logs you gotta go 3 times tho

NFS 2 was awesome, one of my faves too.
