I agree with you and your method. What a person puts in you will get out but be smart about it. I also am aging now and took too long to realise is numbers. I can get much more out of a third of the birds now than I used to. 20 years ago I raced 140 birds in a season now 80 is more than enough. Great my friend keep it up. Regards Sean in South Africa.

Very nice and informative video I really enjoyed your video. Thank you! My question is how do you figure line a flight for your birds if you do a 10 mile Toss and you drive 10 miles isn’t it less than 10 miles with straight line of flight how do you figure from point A to B that your birds actually a tossed at 10 miles and not 7?

Googlemaps.. you can hold a spot on the map and it will make a pin and then in options you can measure distance and you can measure to your house.

I always measure with air miles not car miles

We have spots that are pretty accurate mileage that we have gone to for many years. Google maps should have that option i think.

Just found your channel i hope you continue to post more... i have 3 questions
1 . You said you said you only have 20 to 30 pigeons each each young bird season How many young birds do you lose to hawks or training or races.
    2. You said you train your birds around-the-clock And you take them out far towards race destination. Do you continue to train during race season or only before races and just maintain conditioning during race season.
    3. Do you ship all of your young birds to every race or do you pick and choose races races as well as birds each week Is depending on weather and form.

Hi you mention you like the breed early and 24 pigeons. Problem is where I live there are a lot of hawks If I start flying them in March I am going to have losses to hawks. Can I January hatches and start letting them out in April or will they be too strong and I will fly aways ?
