I learned that fact in the weirdest way, my mother took me to a rock n roll bar she had found when I was around 9, but didn't know it was punk night, so we had dinner listening to guys beat on stuff to the leader screaming "DEF LEPPARD'S DRUMMER'S ONLY GOT ONE ARM!"
This car crash wass highly inaccurrate, the location is entirely wrong, the car doesn't even leave the road in here, and also he is not a crash test dummy edit:
That’s because it has been modeled incorrectly. He didn’t hit a bridge support. He went into the median at 100 mph, hit a culvert and the car started flipping. Still should have had his belt on, though.
@@AJS_Drums a bit dumb comparing a car from the 70s when there was little to no regulations to race cars of today, as race car driving in the 70s had a high fatality rate
This bears no resemblance to anything. The scenery and road signs are clearly American. Horton’s car did not hit a bridge. The highway at that time was 2 lanes each way with a grass median in the middle. Horton went wide on a turn and put a tire into the median. This ripped the axle right off the car. It then hit a drainage culvert and started tumbling. He would have been between the bridges at Ontario St. and Lake St. He didn’t hit either of them. All the events took place late at night, not in daylight.
Not alot was known about the effects of painkillers as well..he had just had his jaw smacked in the game, and they gave him some potent painkillers...no doubt affected his judgement.
Rest if peace I never Knew he had died but thanks for educating me. Could you do tony roper at Texas Motor Speedway 2000 (it doesn't have to be Texas I guess Just a Race track)
I remember this so well, as it happened when I was in high school. On a side note, it was forty eight years ago, so the cars used in this reenactment are a bit older than 1974, unless I REALLY am that old now. It was a very sad day and few days in Buffalo when this happened. Also of note, but not excusing - at all - the alcohol which not doubt contributed to the crash, but Horton was also on painkillers as he had a nasty injury on his cheek from being injured in a shot in practice a couple of days earlier. That could have make him think he could drive. Why knows?
Hey! This channel is super underrated! This is exactly what I was looking for. I wanted to ask you if you could cover the fatal crash of Matthew Broderick where two people were killed. He’s infamously known for Ferris Bueller’s Day Off
He stopped. The Leaf game ended maybe 9:30-9:45. Horton didn’t play the third period because he’d taken a puck to the jaw in practice. He talked to Dave Keon after the game and headed out. Paperwork and phone calls at the office in Oakville and then he hit the road. Probably left near 3:30 AM if he’s doing 100mph in St. Catharine’s at 4:00.
This prooves supercars don't need V-12s, a 351 Cleveland V-8 by Ford did fine here at wrapping a not-sober celebrity that didn't know how to use it around something

Yeah this isn't how the crash happened at all he was on the garden city skyway about 1\4 the way up and lost control and slammed into a K-rail (concrete barrier)
Anne Heche and Leslie Jordan coming soon? Another interesting one would be RUclipsr Trevor "McSkillet" Heitmann's suicidal crash in his McLaren that also killed a young mother and her daughter.

Rick Allen (Def Leppard drummer) crash could be a interesting famous crash, and he lived, minus an arm.
He’s a g.
Or Cliff Burton (but that would require a tour bus model)

Well, at least he only took himself out. Some consolation for his family.
Ok…. I’ve eaten at one and said the name a 100 times but i didn’t know who he was until this video. Thank you for that! The videos are way cool too!

Haha ikr
This is so well made, and I love how you animate the crash test dummies! Please keep up the series, I am enjoying these!

Wear your seat belts, people. That looked entirely survivable.

Bruh its a game and a preset map for said game. You can only do so much in it

Agreed and the car was flipped over
Correct
I like how this is the only channel that does this in beamng AND they use cars from that same era.

Great animation.
This is not very accurate. He bet his team that he could make it back to Buffalo faster than they could fly. He never stopped along the way.

$2.17 for 87oct? That's a fantastic price!!!
