Fun Fact: Hex can also work when others inflict status conditions like wigglytuff sing, cinderace and charmander burn moves, or Mr. Mine confusion or psychic moves since they cause status conditions for a long period of time and it doesn’t have to be gengar will-o-wisp or gengar sludge bomb. So sometimes having a support pokemon with gengar can be helpful.

But it doesn't work with any kind of stun like wiggly, mime but it does work on venu sludge, all types of burns
MFS really tried telling me hex was bad.
Hex is not bad but it is not good either for squisy and attackers lobby
Without full heal or eject hex is a pure mistake
I enjoy hex build since day 1. If you have teammates that cause burn or poison also, it just gets better
Hex is trash please stop playing it ahahaha it s like the 80th build you should play in this game..
Hex going off every 2 seconds at higher levels takes a whole team to the afterlife with the right build
Hex sounds good on paper cus it’s basically this spam ability that deals considerable damage, the problem is with stuns and if your full heal is not ready you can only hope that the damage you did is enough.
Fun fact: If you have a team comp that plays around hex (burn, poison, sleep, frozen or paralyzed) Gengar can spam hex the entire match. But I've never seen any teams do this.
It would be interesting to say have a freeze land and wigglituff and another pokemon that leaves burn damage with hex gengar, and see how that goes

I think Hex does scale well because it does double damage on inflicted characters. That’s why it seems to do so much damage late game when your SP attack is so high.
Yeah hex + with the double damage should be 250% spatt scaling

Gengar is good, it just has so many counters to it. And due to all these counters, it’s normally never played in tournaments and isn’t really considered op.
it is tank killer moveset, most of the time they will just pick some other AoE jungler that can be more ultilized
The combo of sludge bomb+hex+unite move is a very good Ray securer

Hex is broken when the enemy team splits up a lot and you can get 1v1s but is usually very difficult to get to work in a full team fight, that last fight was definitely a rarity lol
i never play Gengar because I'm afraid of missclicking move, shadow ball and sludge bomb look the same and start with the same letters 😭
Assuming you're on switch you just gotta remember to either take both left moves or both right ones

Electric terrain is not a status condition

Electric Terrain nullifies all the moves that involve the sleep status, e.g Dream Eater

Dream eater is good when the enemy is mainly squishy pokemons and only have like 1 defs and 1 all rounder
And Hex is good when the enemy team is mainly tankier pokemons you can really melt them down
Both skill set have completely different purpose for me
Cris still wondering why he gets unite moved by everyone even though he's one of the most popular streamers for the game

The only problem with hex is higher skill ceiling so people keep missing shots but it is way better than trashy dream ball in team fights and works against defenders and all rounders better

7/10 if you mess EVEN A LITTLE BIT youre as good as a dead ghost
Sadly right now Mimikyu does a better job than it and with this moveset you'll struggle if there's lot of CC. I think dream eater should have its nerfs reverted (range) and it needs some buffs for its passive and unite move.

you would rather they use hex than dream eat trust me . hex bomb scales slightly faster than dream eater and is good into more tanky setups.
