Holy cow! Thank you. It was exactly what I was searching for. It is by far the best video I have seen about this subject. Thank you very much! EDIT: Also, subscribed!
Thanks for your video, it's very helpful. The following are my learning notes. 学习笔记:当th在t d n l 后时,在发t d n l 时直接把舌头放在发th的位置即可。 1:29 n--th连接 in the, month; instead of placing the tongue behind the teeth just place it on the teeth, then my tongue is already out there ready for the th sound, so you see the tongue goes up touches the teeth and then I'm relaxing the tongue allowing the air to pass to create the th sound. 2:35 t--th连接 at the, eighth, at this; so let's produce the T on the teeth, you see the tongue goes up and then I relax it for the th sound. 3.14 d--th连接 width, good thing; so the tongue is already on the teeth for the for the D.
Thank you Hadar! Your explanation is so clear and easy to understand . I’m non-english speaker and especially pronunciation ‘Th’ was so hard for me..but i got an answer 😆
Hi Don, being born of German immigrants myself I can relate, but du kannst lernen! I also recommend the following video too: ruclips.net/video/qyawkOGyf-Y/видео.html
I've received and watched so many pronunciation lessons so far and they've helped me improve my pronunciation in some measure, but I still had something itchy with my pronunciation. Now I feel like I've finally found an oasis in the desert even offering me a straw so that I can easily suck it up. You seem to know exactly where English learners have problem with pronunciation. The most penetrative video ever. Thx :)
I kept searching for this video a lot of time to handle this problem with me, so thank you it really helped me, but i was waiting for the s and z consonants but you didn't mention the way to pronounce them in the video.
Hey hadar.you are by far the best English teacher I have seen on you tube.I especially love your intonation while talking which is quite natural sounding to me.there are some teachers who intentionally put on a very slow and kinda flat intonation ,may be just to b more undrestandable to us non natives,bt with all due respect I dont think that will help us.dear hadar will u please teach me how to pronounce S at the begining of words without adding E sound.it is difficult for us persians to pronunce student, story, stimulate whithout adding e.love from Iran.
Thanks to the author. This is the greatest method i've ever met on the internet so far. TH sound is a most challenging for me. But how about right before/after Z and S? You metnioned them in the beginning of the video but not stopped on them particularly. For example: "since then"
Hadar, you're really awesome!!! Thank you so much! It's such a pleasure to listen to you, to all your fab tips! And to look at you, too!!! Great job!!!💗🤗
It’s pretty funny as a Native American English speaker that the trick for “in the” is actually the exact same way that I say it when I’m speaking more on the quicker side. Same with several others. I never noticed that before haha
This is actually a thing that we learn in Tajweed (The way to read Qur'an). It's called "Idhgham" which means merging the first letter with the second one (either complete merge which means you don't hear the first letter at all, or half merge which means the first letter is still heard clearly).
Alright, seems I've found my inspiration and living evidence that my speaking goal is indeed achievable. So near, and yet so far... But day after day, it is getting closer to the final destination. Don't know any sensible way to say thanks so I'll stick with many thanks, alright? Cheers.
I have an interdental lisp that makes my s and z sounds be pronounced with a tongue position that is very similar to the one of the θ and ð sounds, and still sound like s and z. I look for a way to make them sound different: I pronounce the s and z sounds with loose lips and the θ and ð sounds with spreading lips and the tongue farther forward.
Hi Hadar, you are awesome, this lesson helped me a lot. Thanks a lot. I would like to know if you have another that explain the pronounciation in conversation with the words in a sentence together "....them than...." ? is there any tip to differenciate the sound of them in real conversatition ?
HI hadar that was really helpful.could you please help clarify the difference between "th" when it sounds like in then which is more like D sound and "th" in thanks which sounds more like T sound exactly they are shown in dictionary symbols with an oval shape one with a line in the middle and one with a tail on the top . I can't find the symbols to type them but I hope you can grasp what I mean thank you for your brilliant videos
It’s a nice video! I wonder how to pronounce th after m, like “something”. One does need to fully close their mouth to pronounce m. Is there still a way to “cheat”?
thanks for liking (fyi i meant teacher) I also had a question about when youre speaking fast. DO you still pronounce the th as a whole ,or you just make it a d or t sound
Thank you for the helpful video ! I have a question, should I try to pronounce every single word which ends with a t,n,l,d to pronounce with my tongue on my teeth, or is it only when a th is following after?
thanks, I'm a native English speaker but I always found it slightly awkward to say month, til I watched this clip, though I still find saying months awkward
Holy cow! Thank you. It was exactly what I was searching for. It is by far the best video I have seen about this subject. Thank you very much!

TH sound is a most challenging for me.
But how about right before/after Z and S? You metnioned them in the beginning of the video but not stopped on them particularly.

I’m a native speaker, and the word “sixths” is still awkward to pronounce smoothly. Like... “siksths”. Why is that allowed?
I watch your videos daily. I am Markus chisim one of your email students.
Bravo. You explain TH gergously.

Hello Marisol, there is another NEW TH-SOUND video here: ruclips.net/video/ZZmO6Z6YTmY/видео.html
Awesome video! But, what about the n’t endings, like “don’t, doesn’t, won’t, can’t”. How do I link them to th? E.g.: I don’t think so.
Alright, seems I've found my inspiration and living evidence that my speaking goal is indeed achievable.
So near, and yet so far... But day after day, it is getting closer to the final destination.
Don't know any sensible way to say thanks so I'll stick with many thanks, alright?

All my life I thought that was the correct way to say the th sound. Everyone in my country says it like that.
Are you south Asian? that's the most common way to say it in Indic languages, hence south Asian people say it that way.
U're from India??
omg thanks Ms Hadar so so much. This is my mistake and also my question in a long time.
