The way that he still slayed the performance even though there was a technical problem with the mic/in ears because they disconnected while dancing is like mind-blowing!! There could be many things that's could have gone wrong, but I think he couldn't hear the melody in the in-ears anymore considering that from around 1:47 Hoshi tried to fix something behind his back, then he touched his in-ear at 2:00 and later on he saw that the cord was disconnected from the system at 2:30 and you can see that he was not happy about it. Maybe it was his mic that didn't work, because just maybe, even though I don't really think so, it didn't work at his second part at 2:06 BUT it is a part that is like impossible to dance and sing to together especially that high so it would be normal in any occasion that Hoshi or really anyone else wouldn't really sing the part and only mouth it, but maybe he wanted to sing some words and realized that something's wrong after that, idk 🤷 I'm definitely not saying that this is 100% true, I am studying sound engineering, but I'm not that knowledgeable yet 😅 But yeah, I'm still so amazed by how professionally he handled it without affecting the performance, I wouldn't have noticed if not for the part at 2:30 where he started to fix something.
