So apparently with 2-D he has an something called an eight ball fracture, and when his eyes are black, that means his eyes is filled with blood, and so when russel tripped him it didn’t really change with his mood, but his eyes were just filled with blood. (Sorry, rlly bad at explaining)
Humility is definitely more carefree, and is from The Now Now. The Now Now doesn't feature much of Murdoc at all, since he went to jail. Since the creator of Power Puff Girls and Gorillaz know each other, they replaced Murdoc with one of PPG's infamous villains: Ace Copular, leader of the Gangreen Gang He's definitely older by the time he gets featured in The Now Now, and not as evil. You'll see him in Tranz, too. He doesn't get any voice lines but his presence was amazing to see
As far as the artists featured on Stylo, Mos Def (Now known as Yasin Bey) was the one rapping in the background and old school soul singer Bobby Womack was the one singing the bridge you liked.
Murdoc would be a terrible roommate, leaving empty liquor bottles everywhere and so on 2D would be clumsy but other than that he'd be fine Noodle would be very helpful and a good roommate Russel wouldn't do anything but eat and watch TV all day
2-D has two very severe 8Ball fractures severe because an 8-ball fracture usually just makes your pupils bigger but blood actually covers his entire eyeball, blood is just filled in his eyes and is stuck there but when he's happy it drains out and leaves a plain white eye behind it. I don't know, his pupils disappeared I guess. I don't know why his boot controls his eye colour my guess is that when someone is sad you use more muscles in your face forcing more blood into his eyes and causing them to stay there but when you're happier you use less muscles and so they drain out
I think when his eyes are black that like when hes in serious situatuond and when his eyes are white hes like happy and content since murdoc wasnt around him 🤘🏽
My take on the eyes: So as others have said, 2d has 8ball fractures on both eyes, so they're usually black. In the Gorillaz universe, blank white eyes are usually associated with ghostly possession. Therefore, 2d is possessed in the Humility video, Russell tripped him because he recognized the signs (he has previous experience, hence his own white eyes). The ghost leaves 2d after the trip, putting him back to his usual black-eyed nervous self.
Who do you think the manatee is in music video "Up on Melancholy Hill"? The "masked dude" transformed the cop into it, and was still working on the transformation when they arrived.

Stylo has that uncanny valley feeling although it's hella cool. Pretty sure the only video you're missing from Plastic Beach now is "Doncamatic".
