I really love your style! As an older traveler, I don't want to look like I'm 50 trying to relive my 30s. I appreciate that your style is classy yet trendy without looking like you're trying too hard. Tres chic!
What a great way to pack! I’m hoping to be a reformed over packer on my next vacation following these guidelines. My only suggestion is to take a silk scarf as it will take up no room and might come in handy as a scarf is supposed to be a very French accessory, will surprisingly help warm you up and may protect you from a bad hair day if caught in an unexpected rainstorm. Have a wonderful time!!
Glad it was helpful! I will be wearing a scarf to travel, it's something I do to help keep me warm on the plane and in the airport. I totally forgot to mention it, though. 🤦🏻♀️
I like what you’ve done with your wardrobe. You need to remember not to take anything you would be heartbroken to lose. The Fenty sunglasses worry me. York was warm when we were there last summer. It only got cool to the west of London around Bath. I wore a blazer all through our trip. Have a great trip!
I have been looking forward to this video ever since you were planning it. You are very pulled together as always. The only tweaks I would add are silks scarves! They take no room and can be used in so many ways and a scarf in Paris…chefs kiss! 😊 Have. Dream vacation!
Lovely outfits! I enjoyed your video. I am 82, and travel with only an underseat spinner, because I can't handle heavier items. My outfits are all coordinated, and few! Yours are more fun!
Good choices for sure.😍👏 I live in Vienna Austria. It has rained quite a bit in Europe this summer. Maybe just a thin scarf and a light rain jacket. Enjoy your holiday in the UK and Paris. 😊
I usually wear a scarf to travel in, totally forgot to mention it. My weather at home is very similar - we're 65 degrees and rainy today, which is unusual for August. Ah well...😃
Thank you so much for this capsule plus travel wardrobe. I’m going to Italy next summer with only a carry-on. Figuring out what essential pieces make the most outfits is so important. I don’t want to stand out as a tourist in flip- flops and fanny packs. This video was so helpful. Thank you again.
Lots of good choices here! I avoid flowy wide-leg pants when traveling because of the way they drag on the floor when you go to the restroom (a nightmare in airplanes and countries with in-floor Turkish-style toilets), but yours look great with everything you paired them with.
Love this capsule wardrobe idea. I had to go out of town unexpectedly this weekend and was trying my best to stream down what I was going to take. I ended up with a version of a capsule wardrobe. And then I saw your video just now and felt good about what I attempted. Thank you for this video. 😊
Oralia, can you do a video on the different style types (classic, bohemian, sporty, etc) and the types of styles that identify with each. Although classic is very elegant, its not the type of clothing I wear often as a retired person. Would love to see bohemian clothing samples. 😊
Yes, yes, YES! I love that you've highlighted the capsule wardrobe concept for travel. It really works and takes so much of the guess work out of getting dressed each day---particularly if you are on the go and in different accommodations every night or so. I've made 2 international trips of 2 weeks each and did it all in a carry-on bag using a capsule. (Confession time. I do save room for an extra fold-down bag in case any goodies want to follow me home.) And I loved that you brought in the on-trend blazer which does really tie everything together. But if someone just doesn't want to go that route, I use a more polished, lighter-weight duster sweater as a top piece for much the same effect. The only other item I would recommend is a nice larger scarf, particularly if you are traveling in countries where women are still required to cover their heads to visit certain religious or historic sites. It takes up no room and is just nice to have on hand. Best wishes for your trip and have a wonderful time!
Yes it was very very helpful but these pieces I feel can go to other vacation destination even in the US thank you for sharing and in October I will be going to Miami Florida to celebrate my 70th birthday and funny thing about this video is I have most of the things you showed💕 Stay safe and bless your trip sounds. Fun☺️
Something I found helpful is to take 1 or 2 large scarfs with sequin detail or silky that can also serve as a shawl. They will take little room and are very helpful.
Oralia, I've watched and absolutely love your choices! The red dress is adorable, but in my opinion, I think you should alao add your white dress from Banana Republic, as a 2nd choice, it would definitely fit nicely with everything else. Safe travels, and have FUN!!! Thank you so much for sharing... 🥰
Jeans, boots and a cashmere sweater plus A trench coat for rain and scarf to wear on the plane would mix well with your pieces and give you more versatility. Also a pair of leggings and an upscale long top to wear with leggings
Sorry for late message but I was excited to hear you were visiting my ‘neck of the woods’ in Northern England and really hope you enjoyed it there. York is really beautiful and your capsule was perfect for a range of climates 👍x
Well done on keeping your wardrobe to a limited number of pieces. I like what you've selected and I'm always interested in hearing your thought process behind clothing selections. I'll be interested in hearing your review of how your capsule wardrobe worked for you while on vacation. Enjoy.✈
Twenty years ago people in Europe didn't wear white sneakers. Now it is in fashion. I go to Paris every year and each year I pack less. A capsule wardrobe works well. If needed, I just wash my clothes at a laundromat. I am going to Paris and Amsterdam in October. 😊. Have a wonderful time!
I know right? I'm kind of glad they've relaxed a little, it's actually a really cool look. I tend to wear my stuff a few times between washings and just let them air out between wearings at home. Of course I also tend to spill so....
Love all your luxe and I’m so impressed at how you mix high-end with regular and such as that beautiful satin skirt from target. I love all of your luxe, but I have to admit I’m not a big fan of the blue sunglasses. Love the Dior.
Hi, I enjoyed your video o much, would love to hear. Video on self care in fashion and how it helps boost your confidence. I’m bouncing back from a life hurdle and fashion makes me happy. Thank you for your advice sure will be checking in on your channel ❤
Your capsule wardrobe was really helpful to help me not overpack the only thing I would be cautious of is your shoe choices. While those are beautiful choices they are not very practical for cobblestone and lots of walking. Last year in Rome we walked 7 miles in one day and my feet were wrecked from my tennis shoes. The streets are not only uneven but slippery. While the neutral sandals are a fabulous choice for a little dressing up the tennis shoes you chose have no grip on the bottom. The wedges will not be a good choice at all for walking around. I would rather be comfortable than stylish in my shoe choices to have a fabulous vacation. I am bringing 4 pairs of shoes on my next vacation. A black wedge sandal for dressing up at night. One pair of trail runner tennis shoes and another pair of comfortable tennis shoes that I can alternate. Haven’t decided if I’m taking a boot or a flat sandal. Have a great vacation.

I'll be there for about two weeks. I debated on adding more color but they're not quite as flexible as neutrals. I also had originally planned on having a few white pieces but was worried I'd get them dirty so I went with navy instead.😉

I would have left a pair of sandles and opted for a waterproof stylish boot. Love the navy pants with the green tank!

Great looking wardrobe, but very dark. I would swap out one of your dark tops for a lighter one🙂
Thanks for the tip!
Thanks O such good info ❤❤❤❤
You are so welcome!
I love your colloquialisms. I get "throw on" and "pick up" but don't know what a capsule wardrobe is. Also white sneakers?I thought they screamed USA?
A capsule wardrobe is a set number of garments that are interchangeable to make multiple outfits. I’m not wearing chunky, athletic sneakers; mine are more considered fashion sneakers.

I haven't decided yet! 🙈
