    What do you think of the SMOOV One? I'll be doing a full review once I've tested it in Bali so be sure to stick around for that!
    One more thing in regards to the weight, the reason is because it has a much more powerful battery and motor than its lighter rivals. Giving you higher speeds and longer range.

      Price?

    • @paco3447
      @paco3447 4 года назад

      @@JohnTwentyMilanda Close to 4000 eur. I Have one and I don't reccomend it. It doesn't even last 2 months, either drive and auxiliar pieces. Engineering flaws: The control unit's clamp is made out of aluminium, a very bad idea as long as aluminium can't stand material fatigue as iron could (bend). so it will fracture within a few months. Second, whatever the motor drive / battery or MCU unit will die in ~2 months, no matter how careful you are. Eventually the drive will not longer charge anymore without any reason. And last but not least, the support service is the worse by any means: you need to send the defective piece back to Germany anytime you have a problem, which is common (good luck depending on your living country). And it takes a lifetime between sending, inspecting and bringing it back.

    I have the efix e35 and it’s a great system if it fits your chair (doesn’t fit my new chair) but the wheels add so much weight and extra width onto your chair I like how the smoov doesn’t add any width

    Love the comparison to K-9 . Good review. I will have to see who sells it in Canada. Would be interesting to test drive it. I have a chair that folds - would I be able to use it? Thanks, Pat

  • @TuberLoober
    @TuberLoober 5 лет назад +1

    It wouldn't work on my wheelchair, since it folds and has an X shaped structure rather than the straight bar in the back. I also have an oxygen concentrator which would impede its use. But I applaud the attempt to improve independence for those of us with mobility restrictions.

    • @AdaptToPerform
      @AdaptToPerform  5 лет назад

      They do claim it fits to folding chairs. Have a look at their website they have a list of wheelchairs that are compatible

      Hi also a para for 24yrs tried 2 different powered wheel attachments. I have a deteriorating shoulder and the wheels left me in a bad way (having to steer wheelchair when in use)
      I recommend the Rio Firefly retails at 2290euro and a fabulous product given me full control with no added pressure to my body.

    I've purchased one about 2 months ago. Sorry but it sucks. It doesn't even last 2 months, either drive and auxiliar pieces. Is in some sort of Beta stage. Flaws and defective: The control unit's clamp is made out of aluminium, a very bad idea as long as aluminium can't stand material fatigue as iron could (bend). so it will fracture within a few months. The motor drive / battery or MCU unit will die in ~2 months, no matter how careful you are. Eventually the drive will not longer charge anymore without any reason. I'm sorry to hear this! Mines going strong after 6 months using nearly everyday including heavy rain, sand, and big bumps. They've been nothing but accommodating to me either. I'll contact my guy and get them to get in touch

    • @paco3447
      @paco3447 4 года назад

      Despite the design flaws, like employ die casted aluminium for the clamp of the control unit holder, which is a crazy idea from the point of view of industrial engineering, as is a rigid and porous material not intended to bend around a frame tube. But the most annoying is the customer service support. Everytime some part fails, you will need to send the unit to Germany and wait months for repairs and bringing back. The idea is good, but the design, quality and customer support needs heavy improvement.
