Neat manatee encounter! I went to high school in the Fort Lauderdale area in the '60s and saw plenty of manatees, but never saw one come up out of the water like that!
Beautiful little vessel you have there, I’m getting ready to make a sailing rig for my 16’ Fiberglass Mohawk, the rigging will be coming from a salvaged Snark Mayflower, should be interesting.

Hi mate you need a jib it really makes a difference more so in very light wind I've done it on the HOBIE ADVENTURE ISLAND KAYAK 🏝 😀
Sound like a good idea. I'll have to start thinking about that. Thanks!

Great video showing how your system works. Thanks for inspiring us!
Looks like the mods/upgrades are working great! Cool seeing that manatee surfacing.
Anyone else would call that a kayak.
Not the designer and a whole lot of people in the know. 🙂
Yeah it's a sailing canoe,,,,and not a kayak ,,,,some people have no idea what a canoe or kayak is me I've got both of them
@@Piratepeteoo My point is that when you put decking across the top, the canoe becomes a kayak.
Do you have to have a leeboard on both sides?
No, just on the one side. Works great on both tracks.
Both "tacks"
