Fun fact, i don't have a screenshot, but there is an NPC named Donovan just south and a bit West of the first town (in the woods), non-hostile, but says he's too busy to talk to you or something. You can kill him, and he dropped 500 coins and like 2 books for me!
He's part of the story lol

I like the combat system, similar to kingdom come deliverence but easier in here.
The best 2 things i learned i would like to share:
1) I think there is a bug where the 2 last meals dont spoil, so you can eat a simple food, easy to get like cooked mushrooms, and then 2 strong meals thats gives lots of hp and stamina. So when the simple food is about to dissapear you eat another one and fill it again. This way the 2 last slots of food never dissapear, so you keep best buff of hp and stamina forever.
2) Best way to defend raids early game (having like 2 to 4 settlers) is the day of the raid you create an army in the army option and select all your settlers (dont forget to equip them). This way they wont go 1 by 1 dying against the raiders when you set them as guards.
I used the "mobilize army" command (that seemed to be bugged until yesterday for me) so they were patrolling as the raid party was approaching, but interestingly, the raid party retreated before they got there hah
@@brandx7711 i used to set all my settlers as reserves, so if a raid party came i just had to tranform all into guards with one click. Sadly its the worst as your settlers go 1 by 1 to get killed.
But if you create an army you usually keep them behind you long enough so when raiders detect you, your party attack all together and you can flank them and attack from behind 😆.
One thing i dont like in the game is that if you win, then the next raid increases level, so means they will come with better weapons. Usually the raid level should be measured with other variable like tecnology, days passed ingame, how far you advanced in the game, etc.
They patched that meals bug but it is still better to eat lower food first. I tend to use quick call to arms when there are random bandits approaching and use groups more for actual raids or taking out bandit camps. Thanks for watching!
@@GamingwithKristi i was playing a couple hours ago but havent seen they patched the meals bug. Perhaps in new games and not saved ones. Will check again later.
The character create must be mad better with update but its 29 April 2024 when is the next update please let no i love this game
They've been doing updates every day! Check the community tab on Steam.
@@GamingwithKristi I also noticed last night some of the NPC's voices got better, doesn't seem like AI, also, several bug fixes. Launch day I beleive the "whole "K" button mobilize army etc was broken, at least for me. Was working great last night! Thank you for your uploads!!
Nice I didnt know about the quick slotting of food. In return I shall impart knowledge on you hopefully.
Anyways you have three slots. When you consume three items you get the buff for all three..but here is the important part. Food in slots 2 and 3 dont degrade until slot 1 expires. Also another interesting fact you can renew slot 1 with the same type of food once it degrades to like 25%. This keeps slots 2 and three in effect indefinitely as long as you remember to renew slot 1. Your soldier's will renew slot 1 automatically as long as that food type is available in thier inventory.... make sense?

Don't think you can replace it, I was trying last night with slot one it wouldn't replace it Until gone then when U eat it goes slot 3.
It works I've been doing it all day, have had the same slot 2 and 3 for like 6 in-game days now. It has to be the same food so say you have a Berry is slot 1 and mushroom in slot 2 you will see a little blue bar under the Berry. When it had about 25% left just eat another Berry before it completely disappears.
Your not trying to replace the Berry you are just resetting it to 100%. The goal is to keep your good food in slot 2 and 3
@@Wolfsfable yea that's what I was trying I had large cooked meat in slot one an other 2 slots filled but when I tried to eat another large cooked meat to top my slot one up that was nearly out it wouldn't work until it was depleted, I tried last night, will again when home from work.
Seems like your play testing provided you lots of knowledge! I thought this was a pretty basic how to. I was wondering if you could provide more advanced tips, like T2 game play as well as setting villagers to reserve etc. Hope to see more!

The game has no bandits in the starting area, except for raids. No one is wandering the roads around the first town.
True. I was super close to the first village there. More of a general rule of thumb I guess.
@@GamingwithKristi 😆my first start game, I had a base set up at the crossroads area between 1st and 2d town, horrible move. I literally had roamers walking straight through my camp smh
