At 8.12 ....its gets interesting in this video...because that corridor and stairwell was always shut off during my 6 years in summerhill in the early 90's...so that's an area that I'm.seeing for the first time ..also in that area there's a small staircase that goes back to ground level (door brings you back outside studyhall ) ...first time i ever have seen those stairs or those rooms It's a pity you didn't go the Chapel or barney oboyles study hall, or the td room at top of the marble stairs or above the long corridor Also it's mad to see that room with all the wash sinks taken out (next door to computer room) that door was always shut aswell ... Sad to see this building like that ..some great memories .
5:58 the painting on the wall. That was Eimear Murphy's old room and she asked Me to paint that for her. I took as long as possible to do it so I could get more time off classes to "help ms. murphy"
Eimer Murphy said to my mate she would cut things off of him if he didn't work then he asked what things and she steps back and says "very small things" 🤣😂🤣
@@davidscanlon2538 being technical, I'd say reinforced concrete with terazza polished finish. Looks like the building was stripped. All the cast iron radiators pulled out. Nothing left in the Chapel
2000-2005 were my years, I got on well with all the students and teachers and I remember a lot about it! Great school Summerhill College, we all loved it!!🌝🌝🌝
It was a fucking shithole. A handful of good teachers - the rest were useless humps. The majority of the pupils were cunts. The facilities were a disgrace. And it’s just a shame this building didn’t burn down sooner. A complete and utter kip.
I graduated in 1986. Still recognize a lot in there.
