At the request of Impact, Goemon and his friends travel to several planets in order to defeat the evil commander Harakiri Seppukumaru. The game introduced the "Oni Oni Rendezvous" and title themes which would be used in later titles. The anime based on the series also uses some elements from this game, including the appearance of Seppukumaru and his followers.
Kirakira Dōchū returns to the map-based gaming of Ganbare Goemon 2 and the inclusion of mini-games. Each character
is assigned a different world, with several side-scrolling levels and 1-2 towns. Each world has a castle stage, in which the boss fights consist of mini-games. The game also features voice-acting.
Boy that's a mouthful of a title... known as Ganbare Goemon 4, this is the last of the Ganbare games for the SNES because the next title focuses on a puzzle game starring Ebisumaru which I won't probably do because puzzle games are not my thing to do. -

I like the title: On the Twinkling Road: The Reason I Became A Dancer....
Seppekumaru is one strong bastard, able to lift and toss a Death Star looking ball, like it was just a regular baseball. Also, Impact is a mighty fine dancer, he's got the moves.
I also noticed that the sprite at 2:29:56 is a Doom sprite when you use the pistol. This is probably as close to Doom the Japanese got at the time.

Probably because of how "Japanese" the games are. I know that's not really a concern now, but back then it meant that those games would have to be localized.
This game is awesome, and looks great to boot. Too bad about the lack of Impact battles like in the previous 2 games.

I perfer snes game series they 4 games on nes, japansese version but extremely hard and difficult to play without guides or english translation these i actually beat! Before ask how emulation!

A good game, but definitely the worst of the 4 SNES Goemon games. Some of the.... "ideas" this game has (particularly the Impact sections) really ruin it.
IMO this is the best of the 4 Goemon titles, I find GG 3 the weakest of the 4 games due to all the backtracking you have to do, as well as that stupid fireworks puzzle memorization BS section early on (so that Sasuke has his bomb subweapon). The all out imagination for the stages is impressive, though the boss battles are like the ones in Marvel Land (from Namco), mini game based.
imo if it had actual impact battles itd be the best sfc entry but the impact minigames seriously bring it down to third place for me they suck so much which is sad cus this game is pure platforming bliss otherwise

Goemon's Great Adventure had a release that used the same symbol on boxes(not a swastika, but yes it looks similar.) It did get an updated cart that turned it into something else (a star I think.)

Konami had no fucks to give, they spoofed everything between this series, and the Parodius series.
this is like the only Japanese-exclusive game series that hasn't been fan translated yet. it sucks because Goemon games are heavily text-based, unlike most platformers. -___-
It's not that it's heavily-text based. It's that the graphics are all compressed. And not with any simple compression either. But check my channel; I'm working on a fan translation.

There's an English translation these days, now you don't need to know Japanese to play all 4 Goemon games for the SFC.
