I live not far from the place he grew up in at Burwood, in Sydney Australia. It’s a very modest home to say the least and I think it’s awesome to see how far he’s come from such humble beginnings and it couldn’t have happened to a nicer bloke. He’s remained humble his entire career and deserves all the luxury and success he’s earned.
This is a small dutch city near the german border. Angus used to live on the other side of the street in a tiny house with tiny garden for more than 30 years. Then maybe Ozzy or Steven Tyler or one of his other rockstar friends convinced him to have a bit more of a represantative domicile 😂. And yes he deserves it.
When you say 'tiny' what are we talking, here? Tiny like a one storey bungalow, or tiny in comparison to the kind of mansions big rock stars usually live in? I saw a video one time - a 3 part video, actually - called 'the search for Angus Young'. The first part is still available here on YT. It's 3 fans going looking for Angus's house. They find it, ring the doorbell, and Angus himself answers. No electric gate. No security guard. No intercom. Just Angus coming to the door in casual clothing, and then chatting to them about his music. It was pretty surreal. Imagine being able to do that with Elton John or somebody. Wouldn't happen. But it was probably incidents like that which convinced him to move to a bit more of a private residence. It's probable that rock stars don't live in gated mansions because they think they're better than everyone else (well, maybe some do.), but more because living too accessibly makes you a target for every crazy person out there.

At 0:33 you can tell someone is home or the windows would not be open unless they have a house sitter or one of their family members lives there when they aren’t home, Angus is my hero and I would love to be a guitar player. Hopefully as popular as him. One day never ever replace him tho or be as good as him.

So I sort of get it, my moms mom came from Aalten the Netherlands and I can speak Dutch but I have a hard time with the pronunciation, And yes I do sometimes use a translator but for the most part I can type in Dutch. I know this has nothing to do with it but I love the Netherlands and have way before I even discovered his wife was Dutch lol it just made my love of Holland more !

I work as a car mechanic in the village Aalten. We had him as a custumor. Really lovely dude and he showed me around the house.
