In other videos, they show the the sprinkling of the ashes on the table, but this person didn't include that part in the video. Basically, Each time you see the worker rolling the glass over the table, they are adding ashes. You cannot see the ashes because they blend in with the grey table, but a lot of the fine dust particles on the final glass piece are ash.
I lost my mother at the end of September last year. Though it was quite sudden, it was not unexpected, as she had been in decline for a while.
