Great anecdotes from all of the musicians. I particularly enjoyed the story about the Iron Butterfly’s keyboard player’s pet dog and the German Shepherd on that USAF base in West Germany. I’m glad to see that they all were so friendly and gracious. Of course, for me, The Association is THE band.
Yester was convicted of child pornography in 2017, wasn't he? And he's on this Flower Power cruise? Weird. Why not then invite Peter Yarrow of Peter Paul & Mary fame? He went to jail for exposing himself to a minor in 1969. Rocks stars.... immoral as hell.
@@kensellers4082 Oh, you're right. Guess I should have checked first before commenting. Sorry. But still... they are brothers. Things tend to run in the family. Or Jim chose to look the other way. I'm sure he knew. Celebrities think they can get away with anything. Most of the time they do. Let me know if the Alec Baldwin case can change that perception, will ya? Thanks. 😇
@@kentduryea1741 Yes, what a “wonderful” human being, Alec Baldwin, truly is. After years of acting like an A-1 jerk, it’s almost karma that the crass and bumptious Alec Baldwin would be involved in the negligent shooting death of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins. Baldwin’s now about as “marketable” in Hollywood as Orenthal James Simpson is.
@@kensellers4082 Will Smith is another one so "special". And let's not forget that #1 all-time greatest Hall Of Fame above the law SOB Sen. Ted Kennedy and Chappaquiddick. A drunk responsible for the death of Mary Jo Kapeckne and is never punished. Just a slap on the wrist and continuance as a senator for the next 35 years. Hope you're not from Massachusetts. I can't stand people there for always kissing the ass of a Kennedy before voting for one even after doing something very bad. Thank God the rest of America ain't so dumb and made sure he never became president. Couldn't even beat Carter in 1980. Sweet. Hey, you're an interesting chap. Thanks for setting things right about Yester and the bonus commentary about Balwin. Have a great day of liberty, Ken. That's what we all live for.
The Grassroots are a touring band that play under the legal agreement of the estate of orig lead singer/bassist Rob Grill. There are no original members that are of part of the current group here. Rob Grill bought out all the other members and owned the name. When he passed away like 10 yrs ago, his estate allowed Rob's backing musicians to continue touring as the Grassroots. Even though they do a good job, they are nothing more than a tribute band.
I saw the Grass Roots in concert before Rob passed (even got to speak with him afterwards) and few years back on the Happy Together tour after he passed. Of course it just wasn't the same, but the songs are just so damned good that they deserve to be enjoyed in these types of celebrations. At least Rob's replacement was honest and admitted it. I don't think they were trying to fool anyone.
1960s. The Greatest Music 🎵🎶 in History PERIOD.
90% of what I listen to is 60's& 70's ...and then was born in the 70's ...best music !!!
This was nice,, thank you.

Jerry Yester, formerly of The Lovin’ Spoonful, had that specific legal problem and NOT Jim Yester of The Association.
