I've never played craps before. I watched this particular video during the week and went to the casino yesterday. I went with a $100 on a $15 table. I ended up leaving with $417 after about 2 hours. I had so much fun. Thank you for the videos !!!
I used this on a Royal Caribbean cruise this past weekend and turned $200 bank roll into $400 on a $10 table. Just pass line, playing the 6 and 8, and odds. Once I collected my money back I started pressing my 6 and 8, or I would pick up the 5, 9, ect.. depending where the point was. I had so much fun! And the cruise table was a vibe which made it even better. Thanks for the video and tips. It can be intimidating to step up and buy in, but the dealers are usually really nice and will help you or answer any questions you have. I was also going to try the $36 strategy from another video but dont fix what aint broke. I didnt need to risk my money on a field bet, so I didnt :)
LOL I’m frantically watching all the craps videos I can before my cruise
Great starter video
The five rules I always tell new Craps players:
Rolling the dice:
1. Never cup the dice in two hands
2. Pretend there is a force field going straight up around the inside of the table, never take the dice outside the 'bathtub'
3. Hit the back wall
4. Never say '7'
5. Never say 'chips', they are 'checks'.....Roulette uses chips
#5 I don’t talk with new players about. It’s a minor detail, but you are correct
Cheques
@@jimklemens5018 You are correct sir!!!!
@@jimklemens5018 In my defense, I am American and I don't speak French. :)
At blackjack they are referred to as chips. So if they're calling chips they might play multiple table games.
I simulate a lot of strategies at home that I see on channels like this. Win a few small sessions. Lose an entire bankroll. Repeat. Win small, Lose big. Every strategy, every time.
Great breakdown sir! I first played craps back in the 90's, and fell out of it after a few. Your channel brought my love of the game back a while ago, and have been a fan of you since! Great vid!
must you always put your pass line bet directly on the letter "P"? 😂😂😂
He’s sending a message 😂
Jeremy, great video. Sometimes, when trying to show someone new to the game, how to play on a table, they get lost and frustrated. Especially. if you are trying to explain the game while at a casino. There is so much controlled chaos on the table during an actual game. Showing this video while at home and using a practice table will help newbies get a better understanding prior to playing the game for real. I'm taking a relative to Vegas for the first time, later this month, and Craps is on the "to do " list.
Great video. First time I played this in Vegas I was terrified, days before RUclips, so this is awesome for a newbie. Especially hard for us in the UK because there are now only 2 Craps tables in the whole country & none within 200 miles of London. So annoying 😩
Sometimes it is good to take it back to the basics! Awesome job Jeremy. Also, I feel bubble craps is rigged after my birthday trip to the casino. I tried the regress Iron T; turned 100 to 330 right away, then slowly burned to neg 100. I need to get some projects done around the house and build up some bank roll before I jump to the 15 minimum table for the 90-90-30 regress.
I played this strategy my first time playing and won $110 on a $10 table at circa in vegas - only table game i came out ahead on!
Thanks for recommending Waylon’s Way … Do you two ever go play together! Your video’s compliment each other perfectly! Thank you!!❤
Love your videos! I've been playing craps for a while, but I still found this video entertaining! You should follow it up with the most complex betting system you know 😂
Bro this is so helpful thank you for explaining why you should bet $6 on 6 and 8
It may be overwhelming for new players but introducing them to the roll pyramid is advisable. When you talk about combinations most newbs don't understand the difference. Once they see the pyramid a few times the light will come on. Good luck with the TV show.
I agree, and i have dozens of videos including the probability pyramid. Just didn't utilize for this one.
I am awarding you a honorary Doctoral in Casino Craps You will now be AKA Doctor Color Up
Why thank you
That is awesome...great idea.
Good video. Could you cover progression and regression of bets? I use this to pinch profits versus just steady increases or the same bet. Thanks for the video.
I always like to call out the exact amount of money that I would like place each number for. Example $12 each on the 6 and 8.
Only thing I'd add is that if you're gonna bet the line, make an odds bet to go with it. The payoff is better.
Only if you can afford it. Long term player with odds or no odds is expected to lose the exact same amount.
Great video mate! Would love to play on this nice black table!
Put your cash down in the come. Always in the come. Dont make the dealers reach for cash.
Back to the basics!
Felt like I needed to. This will be episode 1 for my tv show.
Great video, hopefully you establish the standard again for Sports Grid, I like that tag at the end
Standard will be back in a new and improved way
If there's no limit on odds bet you can increase your odds bet if/once you get you bets paid for. By that I mean all subsequent winnings go on the odds...a bit of a true gambler's strategy.
Every casino has a limit on the Odds bet.
Great job Jeremy! Love This!
Very good lesson.
I sometimes play this way and ive been playing craps for over 5 yrs
Yeah, i claim just for beginners but its solid way to play even for veterans...issue is most people get too impatient and end up risking lots more money ha
When I was a beginner I wished somebody taught me to play the DON'T Pass. Play 1 DON'T Pass and 2 DON'T COME. Once you have 3 bets out there no more bets. If one of your bets gets taken down do not replace it. If all 3 bets get taken down pass on this shooter and wait for next one. Eventually they will learn when to hedge and use the DON'T PASS and start placing PLACE bets when the point is 4 or 10.
Pass or don’t pass are basically a coin flip. With a difference of .01% in house edge.
No real advantage either way, both have plus and minus reasons to play.
You should try betting hybrid.
We teach the Pass Line bet to new players; we all do it.
However,I recently saw another Craps RUclipsr bring up an interesting point.
Are we not doing a disservice to new players by starting them off with a disadvantaged bet?
Would it be not wiser to teach them the Don't Pass bet as their first bet?
The Don't Pass bet is an advantage bet.
I thought about this for a long time.
Seems odd, however it actually seems more complicated to explain the Don't Pass bet than the Pass Line bet to a new player.
I would if it's that way by design...? 🤔
The don’t pass is not an advantage bet. It is harder to understand for beginners though. The don’t pass isn’t really much of an advantage over pass bet at all. pass is 1.41 % edge and don’t pass is either 1.40% or 1.36% depending on how it’s calculated. You are talking at most a 4 cent difference on a $10 bet.
It’s really just a matter of deciding if you want to bet with or against the 7. Long term the difference is 0.01 % different.
Also, it is a bet required for dice thrower.
Thus, try explaining that and not have someone feel like they need to take notes. And that is if they do not feel like this, it will be complicated and shut it down immediately.
@@clueless9245 well a dice thrower can also throw with a dont pass bet. Pass or don’t pass meets the requirement.
I have learned MUCHO from you Jeremy. I am so far "advanced" compared to my neighbor, who got me into the game a few years back while in Vegas. He has a hard time understanding DP and even gets a little overwhelmed on Come, let alone DC. I will point him to this and have him follow your beginner series as you re-publish.
I am so happy for you as you evolve this endeavor (hopefully into a big success). Thanks!
@@clueless9245 You can bet on the Don't and shoot.
Do you have a spreadsheet of the strategy rollouts you've done and put against 'The Standard", with outcomes comparing how well each did against each other?
I do have a spreadsheet with results from every strat I’ve rolled to date. Standard comparison is relatively new, so not as much data there.
I've noticed your layout doesn't have the Big 6/8. When I was a beginner I wondered what that was about. I've never heard you talk about it.
It’s a bet on 6/8 that only gets paid 1:1. Far better just to place it and get paid 7:6. Some jurisdictions like Atlantic City don’t allow as it’s so much worse for player.
A question that got me stuck on a crap table long ago in America at Northern Quest (5$mini, but was playing like a $10 mini). When the game is on (Lets Say 5) and you place bets on 6/8 and win a few. While it is still on am i able to pull back my original bets or are they constantly on the 6/8 till losing on a 7 like the pass line? Thank you
You can remove any bet at any time except a come bet or pass line bet. Those two are “contract” bets.
@@ColorUp Wonderful, thank you for the quick answer! Hopefully I shall make a profit on the next trip rather than break even the bank.
Move your Butte….puck to the five hehe… good job staying professional🎯
How many players can be at the table at a time?
How big is the table?
Your butt lol I caught it. Great video
Ha, I almost edited that out
@@ColorUp No don't take it out because it's funny. My wife was laughing on the couch. At first, I thought I heard it wrong.
@@rtyughvbn12 once posted, you can’t edit a RUclips vid. So it will live on forever haha
15:56 You need to work on your press moves! :)
I know the full press move. Don’t know the $6 up move.
@@ColorUp To press from 12 to 18, you pick up one white chip from the $14 payout with one hand, then take $8 off the top of the rest of the payoff with your other hand and give it to the player, leaving one $5 chip left from the payout. Then pick up the original $12 bet with the fingers holding the one white chip, place the single $5 chip down where just picked up the oginal bet, and put the original bet, with the single white chip down on top of that $5 chip. It sounds a lot more complicated then actually doing it. It works exactly the same pressing from 60 to 90.
There's also a cool move to press both 6 and 8 from 12 to 18.
@@gmc9753 thanks! I keep telling myself every year…this is the year I learn to deal….🥺
1st here!!!!
Indeed
Please forgive me for I am a pedant. Place bets on 6 and 6 should be in MULTIPLES of 6 rather than increments. For example, 6, 12, 18, 24... are multiples (and increments) of 6 but 2, 8, 14, 20... are increments of 6 but not multiples of 6.
Thanks. English is my second language.
@@ColorUp I would never have guessed that.
@@michaelkesti3917 I was just kidding about that. Truth is I’m just not that smart ha
Thank goodness for the comment section. I had no clue what you (Jeremy) talking about until Mikey gave us a refresher course in remedial English. I’m certain you will be a markedly better communicator… All because of the geniuses in this comment section. Ignore such pettiness. You are the best teacher in the craps RUclips world… I vote that some of these geniuses decide to show us THEIR educational craps videos.
