    Great video for helping me from beginner to an intermediate snowboarder. Amazing when see the video was uploaded at 2015, while now is 5 day before 2020. Good content really passes the test of time.

    Something I always have trouble with is picking out a line on mogals. I'm not sure how you could teach that, but if you can that'd be great! :)

    Nice video as always! I have problems on steep terrains with too much snow when big snow bumps apear making it hard to absorb pressure with my knees. Any tips about it?

    Hey Kevin just a idea for your channel and its " baggy clothing or tight clothing" honestly I see comments asking the same question and nobody really posts a video for it. In the park I see some guys with so baggy clothing their coats are down to their knee and there are some that are so tight they look like woman on the mountain so it's definitely something to keep in mind and ily

    Hey Kevin! Thanks for all your great videos. I wanted to ask you about my toe side turn. I think I can consider myself as an intermediate boarder. (I ride goofy like you) i can't get my toe side turn perfect.
    Thank you mate

    So when did u film this? Ive been wanting to go up to either Grouse or Cypress for a while now but keep hearing from my friends that the conditions are bad? How did it feel to you when you were up there?

    • @SnowboardProCamp
      @SnowboardProCamp  9 лет назад +1

      I was up there just over a week ago. The conditions were soft, but the riding was decent. It's fun to be up there on a sunny day, but it's definitely a slow start to the season.

    What do you mean by "turning your knees in" and "turning your knees out"? It's hard to visualize from the graphs.

    • @theodorul4085
      @theodorul4085 6 лет назад +1

      i guess in=getting your knees more between your legs, closer to each other (inward rotation), and out to rotate them externaly, creating more distance between them.

  • @lacrosse4higher
    @lacrosse4higher 9 лет назад +1

    Hahah youmake it look so nice and smooth but you should try going down that slope when its a sheet of ice.on my Mt the snow blows off the steep runs so we're left with a nice sheet of ice to do our runs on. Its awful #eastcoastproblems

    it looks like your back food is actually coming off the snow as you change edges sometimes, is that necessary? and how much pressure do you have to put on your front foot to make that happen?

    • @apocalypseskating5213
      @apocalypseskating5213 7 лет назад

      I think its mainly lifting your back foot more than putting excess pressure on your front foot.

    Hey Kev, can you tell what board you're using? I noticed it's not Burton Custom Flying V.
    My best fit board should be like 151cm, but the smallest size of Burton Custom Flying V is like 153+, is that gonna affect my riding? I'm a beginner but I think i got talent in snowboading! I learn super fast!

    • @SnowboardProCamp
      @SnowboardProCamp  9 лет назад

      Dean Wang I'm riding the Burton Process. Go for a board that fits you best. Bigger is not always better.

      thank you for the reply Kev!

      SnowboardProCamp one last dumb question :D
      So for a beginner to learn tricks, do you recommend Burton Process or Burton Custom Flying V?
      I'm thinking about getting a new one but It's tough to make a choice..

    • @matttcheeww
      @matttcheeww 9 лет назад

      Dean Wang No need to limit yourself to just burton. Any board that is twin should be perfect, I personally prefer rocker since my original board (burton blunt). I have sinced moved on to the Arbor Westmark and thats a new favorite.

    What board do you use

  • @scratchplaysloud
    @scratchplaysloud 6 лет назад

    I find that as i go down a steeper slope, i need to maintain a rhythm and speed in order to keep the board from just pointing downward and taking off down the slope.
    My trouble is that at a intermediate level and 220 lbs on a Capita black board of death, if i run out of steam my heel side edge will slide and i then shovel snow down the hill. or i rip down the hill like a freight train.
    is it normal for a rider to favour toe side? is this my strongest edge?
    i find that as i try to maintain a timed side to side, i still eventually pick up too much speed and usually slide out on my heel side. am i digging in too hard or too long?
    my board is tuned and maintained.

    • @figure807
      @figure807 6 лет назад

      scratchplaysloud, I'm a newbie, but it sounds like you might want to adjust the angle of your highbacks so your shins are a little less vertical to assist with digging in your heels. Or maybe sit back more on heelside.

    Kevin how do I get past my fear of going faster!? I ride super slow :(

    • @AlexisLaplante
      @AlexisLaplante 7 лет назад +2

      simplychillinnn I got past this fear when you feel confortable and once you fall going fast don't be scared and keep on trying! It doesn't hurt that much if you tell your brain that you aren't scared.Do a lot of snowboard with good people, friends/family and you will get better
