Why do we love movies so much??
I can think of many reasons!
Movies allow us to escape. We can leave our own troubles behind to go on an adventure! Movies create connection. How many times have you shared what you're watching with others? We bond over the the things we love and debate about the things we disagree on.
Movies expand our horizon. They allow us to see cultures, history and experiences we might otherwise know nothing about!
Movies create empathy. When we witness the struggles of others we can also gain an understanding about the behaviors and desires of others. Movies are entertaining. Quite simply, movies are fun!
Those are the reasons that we love movies...but how does our love of movies make it so we can change the world?? Why does it matter in the film industry?
