Yes, this is the good timeline where instead of Prussian militarism forcefully uniting the German states, the good guy Habsburgs unify and put the capital in Frankfurt.

I have no idea what this mod is about and why the maps like that, but hey, big Imperial Germany I guess (I think)
Basically The United States never exists because the British stomped them, the Austrian Hapsburgs unite Germany instead of Prussia. Nikola Tesla and Thomas Edison were able to build man-made horrors beyond our comprehension.
Basically: what if Victorian Era values (or lack thereof) meshed with pseudo-steampunk science fiction.
I don't have very in-depth knowledge about the mod, but what I do know is that The British Empire reaches an absurd technological level, being the greatest power in the world, Nicholas Tesla's project of make wireless electrical power wireless, and instead of Prussia unifying Germany it was Austria.

Frankfurt has been the capital of Germany several times under HRE and even hosted the German Confederation.
I more or less said it as a meme. Frankfurt nowadays is basically German Detroit due to its high crime rate

I really like the idea of the mod, but I think they don't do enough with it. And honestly what is Germany in this mod? An united kingdom with an emperor? And formed out of Volksstaaten? Makes absolutely no sense.

I’ll admit nobody in the mod understands why they are called volksstaten, but there is a difference between a United Kingdom, meaning a kingdom that is unified, and United Kingdoms, meaning that it’s multiple kingdoms unified into one, meaning that there can still be an emperor. Also the British also had an emperor, with the king/queen of Britain also being the emperor/empress of India.
But what do you expect it’s a mod about giant mechs fighting against cyborgs in 1939
@@JoeManneke Hm yeah fair. But they still has to be a title above said kingdoms. I mean historically the German Empire was practically that - the united kingdoms of Germany or united monarchies of Germany. But above these kingdoms was a new title, the German Empire with an emperor as it´s head.
Btw the British monarch was explicitly not the emperor of Britain, but the emperor of India, a new title. So they weren´t emperor of Britain and India, but the king of Britain and the emperor of India. Two titles, next to each other and to be fair the latter was a prestige title nothing more.
