Loved that move from Lord Cho like here's your King who is very ill with disease and out of his mind but still alive as you can clearly see because they have yet to even see or hear about any of the undead, it's still way out in the country side and no word has reached the palace yet. He tried to stall as much as he could but he couldn't hide it any longer from the scholars without out them being crazy suspicious of him.

As far as I'm concerned, "Kingdom" is the best piece of zombie-related media out there. Hope you decide to watch season 2 and the prequel movie "Ashin of the North" in the channel, because this is that kind of show that keeps getting better and better. However, even if you don't, hopefully you'll still check it out for your own entertainement.
I like your guys' insight on how are seeing this show. This show is based on a Korean comic which is written by the screen writer of the show Kim Eun-hee. This show does get better and better and you don't have to wait a long time for the second season. I love the crown prince's character development throughout the show and the relationship he has with his bodyguard.
This was the worst, waiting one year for the second season after that ending. Absolute Torture. Gosh I love this show
This became my favorite zombie show the first watch through. The way the characters develope over time and not just dumped on you as soon as they are introduced is amazing, the interesting foreshadowing done, like the skill with the musket setting off red flags. It takes so much to not give spoilers while commenting. I keep meaning to read the comic because the world is highly interesting.
That scene of them racing to the clinic is why they call it "Cart to Busan" lol
After you both watch the last episode, I guarantee you guys will want continue with season 2. 😀. I love the discussions after each episode. You guys are the best.
Even though some might think it slow I really enjoy the pace of this show. It takes it's time building the story and setting things up. It also takes it's time explaining the zombies and how they work, you get more answers during season 2 as to what causes them but I like the interesting direction. I like we get some intrigue to the character Yeong-shin (the guy that is good with a riffle). Mu-yeong (the prince's bodyguard) realizes he is a better shot then most soldiers, like almost sniper level and since Mu-yeong is part of the royal guard so he wonders why he has never heard of this guy before or why is he that skilled because guns aren't common place at that time. I'm glad you guys are picking up on the Queen being Lord Cho's daughter and why Lord Cho needs his blood heir grandchild to be born male to completely secure control of the throne. While he is a very important figure from a highly important clan name he has no rightful claim to the throne himself without a grandson, it would be very difficult for him to do so without that.

This show has been shot so beautifully especially the long shots. The slow buildup actually works for me as I love the anticipation of great action sequences as well as the story unraveling slowly. I'm glad you guys are enjoying this show because the production quality is top notch compared to a lot of shows in the same genre. It would have been nice to see you react to the entire 2nd season and the special season ' Kingdom : Ashin of the North' explaining how it all started. But I understand that you have your plate full with tons of other requests.
S2 is a must to watch with how things turn out in the end. There is also a movie BUT movie is recommended to watch after s2.
I was waiting for you to comment on the hats 😂 the headpieces were all the buzz when the show first came out. As you might have noticed they are class indicators, it’s all historically accurate too, some costuming is changed slightly but it’s realistically around the same time period.
On the gate thing earlier where it fell off. I heard that was by accident in the shooting of the show. It was suppose to stay hinged to the doorway but hey decide to keep that shot when it fell off to add “oh no!” Moments from viewers.
I love the pacing of this show. Even though it may look a bit slow in comparison to other shows of this nature, in this the pacing fits perfect for the development of the story. It needs to be like this so you can feel the tension and the cautious of the situation and it adds a lot for character development and storu progression.
The set pieces are awesome and the chasing scene in this is amazing.

17:25 back then there were no phones or similar to alert someone fast if they are far away. Pyre towers were a thing and they only light up if a major threat is coming usually from invasions.
Great Wall of China have these too on them if ever and Mongolian invasion or other is coming to the kingdom. To some degree some European kingdoms back then did this too.
It's a big plot point in "The Return of the King" too, lol
