      @gokiburi-chan4255 5 месяцев назад +1

      Sometimes, if you know multiple dialects of said language. You might remember the English word and the dialect words. But not the native word 😂😂😂

      @@gokiburi-chan4255 Oh, I hate this so much.
      You talk about something and then BOOM, you forget the word in the language, which you use. Then your memory proceeds to bombard you with the said word not only in languages, which you are fluent, but also in languages, which you know only this fucking word.

      Oh trust! The same for me, i try to speak filipino at times just to remind myself lol.

    • @guessit5036
      @guessit5036 3 месяца назад +1

      @@Rejjis That's actually a quite effective technique. Whenever I think about something and kinda process it in my head (basically discuss the matter with myself), I use other languages for five-ten minutes.
      When I switched my job and was surrounded by a lot of native speakers, who are not bilingual, I had to force myself to use native language. Even though my speach was at the level of a second grader, after some time, I started to speak with more confidence and better grammar. You can learn the language by listening and learning grammar/words, but if you don't practice it, you still will not be able to communicate with people.

      They’ll still serve you but they will throw in a bit of playful ridicule if you sound too foreign…. And honestly they’ll do the same thing if your Filipino is too deep as well

      English and Filipino are both official languages.
      And yes if you look at it english is somehow forced because PH were somehow under US control a few years back then.
      What's really weird is that spanish never did become like a 3rd language coming to 2000s and after (never studied spanish) when PH was under spanish rule for 333 years and PH name was based on a spanish king. One reason is probably that some spanish words were integrated into the filipino language.
