Being the most morally upright person doesn't do anyone any good if it prevents said person from engaging with the wider culture. At worst, it can even be selfish - I mean, what's more important, an individual's personal integrity or doing all that can be done to try pushing things in a positive direction, no matter how slightly, even if it means getting your hands dirty? The important thing is to remain diligently aware of your own motivations, to do your best to be sure you're not just making excuses to enable personal gain at your cause's expense.

She’s talented, and eager to take her career from one level to the next, but it’s somewhat naive and risky to publicly call out major artists and stakeholders who have lots of influence and clout in the music industry, when you are not yet in their league. @@eatchas Well, maybe that same advice would work for her. Let the celebrities she's talking about tackle her issues and they tackle their own issues. Just a thought. You know it works both ways.
@@BigHoolii Not really but okay.
Her artist title is absolutely correct … she has no name
There's a difference between a commentary and a diss - especially when you lump yourself right there with your critique.
Happy 50th anniversary to hip-hop. Happy anniversary to the first creators of it, the CIA, who did it for nefarious reasons but despite the plan to divide, hip-hop hits hard. There's a reason Noname called this Black Mirror and talks about the Military Complex.
Yeah that's not at all true 😂 but I see the point you were trying to get to
CIA created hip hop 😂 u funny
It seems more like an acknowledgement than a diss. Like the ongoing conflict between rap being mainstream and the baggage that goes with it and the inherent anti-authoritanian themes of the music.
Diss is not a word I would use but rather she was pointing it out what everyone can and will not see going on.
That was no diss. Noname even mentioned herself as part of the people falling for the same trap. Listen!
JAY Z HELPED BLACK PEOPLE IN THE NFL…SIDE BAR: THOSE BARS WERE WACKKKKKK 😂
Jay Z put on a 21st century minstrel show and helped himself.
@@moe_factzain't nobody Time free
@silentambition2080 Look how that Super Bowl halftime portrayed black people on the world stage.
Imagine working hard and following your dreams and making it so big, millions of people want to see you at a sports game (being played by rich black people) and then a no name try to diss you. 🤣 Couldn't be me.
I know bruh idk why they try to make it about race as if blacks ppl don’t play for the nfl and black ppl watch she just a another “activist”rapper
Exactly
That super bowl performance was crazy tho
she stole her name fprm a l.a. underground artist
u always got simple minded ppl not even caring about the substance behind what someone is trying to say smh
Delusional 😤
I totally respect the point she's making, but at the same time, I think such moral purity can be counter-productive.
“Magazines said I'm shallow-I never learned to swim
Still, they put me on they cover 'cause I earn for them” might not be on the cover but their in the track. seems like a clout chase to me.
No clue why people gas Noname up for saying the most basic stuff. She just name drops like The Game to get her name in headlines.
I'm just here for all the bootlickers defending their beloved celebs
right
So this is what has consumed her life?
Wow.. guess dissing these people are more important than anything else going on in the world 🌎..
She not dissing them she’s calling them out. Comprehension is key
@@maxwellsamuel3255calling them out for putting on a show for millions to see how about call out black on black violence
"Diss" 😂😂😂 , theres a difference between pennig a social critique on how art is used as a tool of empire and "dissing" but hey get your audience traffic and thoughtless engagement's
I DON'T THINK HER OPINION MATTERS TO THE UPPER CLASS
ENTERTAINERS DEMON CLOUT
i loveee her music but i’m ngl i disagree with some of the points she makes. but hey ! that’s part of music as an art form, you don’t have to agree with everything. needless to say i don’t think this was a diss track more like ‘calling out’
Lol I’m so confused about people always being sooo mad at jayz but they still care about Kanye west. I really want people to sit down and write a list of things Kanye has down or said that uplifted block people. Then I want them to do the same thing for jayz. I promise you jayz has done more. That’s why I will never take y’all criticisms as valid y’all are hypocrites.
Who she talking to? Who is listening to Noname in 2023 and going to the superbowl? Thats on her art
Saw her at coachella this year. Her set was hella awkward. Not a great performer. Mids.
As a study track this is hot. But I don't think this is a song it's more of a poem. Cuz as a song this was ass.
@@officialshamblesxoshe’s literally talking over a beat
@@varga4488 Let her microwave... just not cook. Because yeah this is like idk.
Jay-Z is a politician
He’s not the business or a rapper anymore. Just a politician.
SAy what y'all want , this song is Tough and this young lady is talented
Not with those weak bars and yellow short bus flow
I got a crush on no name now
L
Don't go chasing waterfalls
But she right tho...
"The cat is out the bag, I'm not your savior"
She’s talented, and eager to take her career from one level to the next, but it’s somewhat naive and risky to publicly call out major artists and stakeholders who have lots of influence and clout in the music industry, when you are not yet in their league.
Those who hold the power could potentially influence others against you, and eventually hamper your career. Yeah, yeah, I know about free speech and all of that and whether or not there is some truth to what she’s saying. But one has to be smart and understand the politics of the industry in which they are operating in.
She tap like the 90s nobody wanna hear ts 💯
Noname 🏆🐐🎯🙏❤
Noname is really against the industry...and she's soooo smart...amazing artist
Her music's "5-years" too late = nobody told her
Once she got j cold heated JCOLE I knew it was up for noname
Noname diss jay-z Beyoncé Kendrick Lamar’s Rhianan 😮👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿
She KS right and speaking facts
I respect her right to free speech. I also see the hypocrisy when she's doing the same thing and thinks she's absolved because mentions it. How much did Coahella pay her?
She didn’t lie though
her disses mean jack when she platformed that jay verse on balloons
She mid
Common Noname L, so much internal bitterness as always
No lie was told
She’s calling out the wrong artist try again no name and next time put to talent in in it smh
I ain’t mad at her. I love this sista. I just hope she doesn’t become infamous like my boi Game.
Not a diss, just callin em out
She pretty dope tbh.. I’m sure all those she dissed still give her props..
shes right
It doesn't sound like a dissertation to me
That’s crazy but I don’t blame her
She could've dissed the weeknd too but i guess he was just irrelevant to the song😂
Noname makes a lot of sense now I get her rap name lol who the fuck is she I never heard of her till now bro and she calling out all the big names in hip hop history this is how she’s making her money 😂😂😂😂😂
Salute noname for dissin these cornballs
great album
All this infighting for what purpose?
You got a problem with the NFL or whatever why not mention Roger Stokoe Goodell, or any of the NFL owners why is it she has to target other black artists. Who also speak on the same issues she does.
Song sucked tho
Like Milly Mills
She sounds good
She is the most annoying rapper out there 🙄
🗑️ 🗑️
So first time I hear her is dissing people above her level…👎🏽👎🏽👎🏽👎🏽
I haven’t listened to much of her music but I do not like her at all. I’ve seen her controversies, and she’s simply just been wrong on numerous occasions. Why is she so obsessed with trying to target and criticize everyone else when she herself has terrible views.
She doesn’t seem like a fan of football anyway
Lol she's even hating on Kendrick. Who hates on Kendrick? Only a no name indeed🙄
