  • The Mongolian War (also known as 6/25 in China) was an armed conflict fought between the Republic of China and the Mongolian People’s Republic in 1950. The war began on June 25th, 1950, when the Republic of China invaded Mongolia in the aftermath of Chinese Premier Wang Jingwei’s plane being shot down in Mongolian airspace. Mongolia was supported by the Soviet Union while the Republic of China was supported by the Republic of Korea and Demchugdongrub’s Mongolian Unity Army. The war ended in a Chinese victory on November 25th, 1950.

In my version of alt history, there’s no united Mongolia 🇲🇳 as China and the Soviet Union warred over the inland country of Mongolia as being either a Soviet puppet state or a Chinese autonomous republic. Instead it’s split into two. Outer and Inner Mongolia. To this day, there’s some advocacy for a united Mongolia going on. But that slowly accepted to be impossible at this point, Inner Mongolia maintain its old mongol culture and writing, while Outer Mongolia was kept by the ussr because it’s the birthplace of Genghis Khan, plus it’s the assistance of the green sea republics that aided the ussr and Outer Mongolia in maintaining their dignities. Maintaining Outer Mongolia away from Chinese hands.
