I'm impressed by polar bear. With all the pressure you would expect more anxiety but he's not trying to do too much and seems relaxed at the plate while still playing some excellent D.
Playing Winker, Marte & JD in the line-up alone was a stroke of genius...Collectively, those three guys had 5 RBIs...Never mind Mendoza's brilliant in-game tactics and decisions which were great...!!! And Murphy is a very good manager....But any decision for NL Manage of the Year between them should be settled now
This team is fun, man. Feels different this year. Bunch of home grown guys. Not really built around “stars” other than Lindor, no real ace. Just a bunch of dudes coming together to get it done as a team.

He definitely looks to be the heir apparent to Diaz. He is a bulldog with filthy tilt. If The Mets elect to stretch him out again, I would not be against that. It's just that his stuff plays incredibly well late game.

Gotta hand it to David Stearns for the way he built this team, the gritty veteran guys he brought in that have all contributed this year. Iglesias, JD Martinez, Winker, Taylor, Bader, Severino, Manaea, Maton, Stanek. This team seems to pick each other up, play together and have chemistry more than any Mets team in recent memory.
Watching that five run 5th inning was great.seeing the crowd deflate in minutes was enjoyable.i didnt even realize the brews had zero guys on base after that 5 run fifth inning ha ha!!!!! Lets hope they win today and head to philly.
I feel like Sevy is a bit bigger now vs when he was with the Yankees. 🤔 Evan is right though. He didn’t preform for the Yankees in the postseason. But the Yankees offense is also so hit and MISS I can’t blame him for all the failures.
SOTO is way overrated. Good player but he’s only good for the Dominican crowd in right field in my opinion. I would let him walk in 2025. Soto is all about himself
Frankie Montas benefited from a wide strike zone from Umpire and fellow Dominican countryman Ramon DeJesus who called the bias game. Strikes for Montas but not for us.

Whos to say the Mets would not have scored 3 off Peralta in the 5th and then their pen has 2 on and a fire to put out? His call didnt work but the hyperbole is wrong. He had a 1 run lead and his bullpen is very strong and the game was so important. I can never call that "stupid".
