Speech to Remove the Symbol at my High School

In August of 2020, Lane Tech students, alumni, and staff came together to tackle the very contentious issue of changing our school symbol and mascot, which had been in place for over 100 years. Our symbol/mascot WAS "The Lane Tech Indians" This was my speech to the Local School Council before they took a vote to change the symbol. Today Lane Tech is known as The Lane Tech Champions. Proud to be a part of this change.
