Your videos inspire me to try and drape more garments! Your pieces are clean and well done, I enjoy watching your process and am learning SO MUCH! Thank you for sharing your knowledge and I look forward to more of your videos in 2021 as well. 👍🏾
The first video in 2021 is the jacket drape technique. It is based on the hourglass-like silhouette "bar jacket," which was also a symbol of Dior in the 1940s. Until then, evening dresses were the mainstream of women's fashion. However, as women's independence progressed rapidly after the war, women acquired a weapon called a suit. And the end of the era of evening dresses has begun. The collar of the perfect jacket is sculptural and very sexy.
The silhouette of the Dior bar jacket remains the same, but the pattern details have changed over time. The next step is to drape the same hourglass silhouette using different types of patterns.
@@kondosdrapinglibrary9070 could you tell more in the next videos about your profession and education, how did you learn this and what else you do. And also about your pencil. Where could I buy one like this? Thank you 🙏 and wish you success and progress! You are doing great! Best channel on draping😍
Tamotsu, I went to your link for the Spur dress form but I wasn't able to connect to it. Is there a proper web address for the dress forms you could send? Love your video's and the step by step process you post.
Hi Antonio, Hello ! "Fashion draping" is "ファッションドレーピング(Fashion draping)" in Japanese. In Japanese, the pronunciation of a foreign language is used as it is.
It is difficult to choose a background colour for the video. A black background makes it easier to see silhouettes, but it obscures lines and seams on thin fabric. I chose a white background because I wanted to show everyone the lines and not the surfaces.

How do you draw a perfect straight line without a ruler
Hi Elenna, You will need practice for at least 10 years. That's a joke. You can do this by tracing the fibers of the fabric.
amazing amazing amazing !!
Thanks very much

For the black lines on the mannequin, which ribbon did you use?
This tape is an elastic sticking tape. I can also sell to you. Please send me an email if you are interested. milesmile@t-online.de
Hey good joob but fabric name?
Thanks for watching my videos and look out for new content coming in September.
Nettle cotton fabric, muslin
Took patterning making; loved this...how about a dress= something simpler...
I will increase the number of videos for each item. More classic and simple dresses and skirts are planned.
