An old fly that I used to use on Loch Leven and the hill lochs I used to fish back home! This patterns works for sedge and shrimp feeders, and it really looks the part!
That looks a great pattern Steve. I'll be leaving for a weeks fishing on the Machair lochs on South Uist on Sunday, so I'll tie up a few of them and add to my box before I go.
Like it. Cheers
Nice fly that, will be putting a few of them in me box. Thanks for that Steve.
Thanks Stevie 🎉 ….. Happy June Pal !!!

Wow….doin my head in now Steve…..I can’t tie flies and I’m not going to find that online am I …..it looks so good I could eat one myself!
Add a tag and it’s an Irish fly… looks like the flies that get better the more they get chewed up.
That would take rainbows as well and not just the shrimp feeders.
Hi Steve out of curiosity how did you come by the fly
A boy that worked for Scottish Water showed me
Just wondering..I was the original tyer about 47 years ago .The Trout Fisherman magazine did an article on it in the early 90s if I remember right.
Invicta variant ?
