While stationed at Beale AFB back in 85-86, I used to go down to Sacramento every chance possible to watch these guys (as City Kidd) at the Oasis Ballroom. I even took a few lessons from Frank when he worked at Skip's Music. Always knew these guys would make it big and it's always great to see videos like this.

Jeff Keith was a truck driver and was singing along to music on the radio and basically got introduced to the other guys by accident and they had to work with him to develop his vocal style. When they were playing their demos and trying to sign a record deal the labels liked the band and not the singer and wanted them to lose him but they believed in him and helped him develop his signature raspy vocal style that fits their musical style like a glove.
Jeff and Frank have a great bond and friendship and you can feel the love of brotherhood in them. I will treasure you always. Such a beautiful talent.....love you guys....keep rockin............

Tommy when he stands up in the Origional Video and adds his PURE ATTITUDE lead is what really made the song. Tommy taught my daughter Hannah to play this note for note PLUS he taught her his lead parts. The guy is a musical genus! Jeff is the unique voice, Frank is the techinical player but Tommy is the PURE ROCK ATTITUDE. Together they made magic.
I saw Frank Hannen play with his band in Folsom at the Powerhouse Pub, next to Sacramento in about 1998, he was awesome, place was packed, he sang many Tesla songs, sang lead vocals, so talented!

Dave Rude has done a great job! That being said, I do miss Tommy. But he wouldn't stop the heavy drugs. Pray for him. Tesla 4ever more !
