Gen 2 craftsman Hey, I have an off-road/race mower that I built last year, completely redone steering, all heim joints, I believe 8 degrees of caster, I’ve had it at 60 mph before straight as an arrow. After a year of riding it and beating the crap out of it, on the road I had some death wobble that nearly flipped me over. I looked over my steering and I have found that one heim joint was worn enough to cause play. However my concern is it may not be that, because I rode it in mostly stock form for a long time at 30 mph with smooth steering, it had plenty of tie rod play then, and I’ve never had any death wobble. Looking for any suggestions, I can’t replicate the problem and that’s what scares me.
Your Racers looks awesome THANK YOU FOR THE VIDEO
that was a dangerous run son, Glad you are ok
Sometimes death wobble is a frustrating thing to overcome. What is almost as bad is that can get in your head the next time you make a run with it.
Man that looked like you had your hands full on that run
