Hi i just wanna says somthing to this comment, just an opinion, that not because you can reach the highiest high note you are the greatest, for me its how plain and clean you deliever the song is the most important, i saw chaka's live perfomance here in youtube and most of them she's like drunk or something, sounds like forgeting the lyrics of her own song.. but anyway, all of the singers are great on there own genres.. fair enough.. heehee!

Chrissie Hynde delivered a decent vocal. Completely in her own style, I loved her interpretation. She wasn't trying to mimic Chaka, like Legions of other female vocalists. And BTW she wrote Private life...A big Grace Jones Track.

The producers must have told Chaka she won't get her check unless she lets these women sing with her. I cannot fathom Chaka voluntarily letting these four women (hacks) accompany her. This was downright painful.
it's really really funny when I see singers that are like between the age of 25-35 they try to sing songs from artists who are around 45-55 years old, and the older singers sound WAY BETTER then the youger singers and just blows them away. Chaka Kahn is 57 years old, so I know she doesn't have the singing pipes like she used to, but still she sounds better than everyone up their on stage tryin to sing with her.
I love both Chaka and Gloria Estefan alot (wasn't familiar with the other women). This performance sounded like a karaoke night out. The other ladies were not as into it as Chaka.
