    Top Notes: Usually Fruity
Ex: Mango, Peach, Bergamot, Pineapple etc.
    Middle/Heart Notes: Usually Floral
    Ex: Lilac, Jasmine, Gardenia
    Base Notes: Heavier molecules.
    A Natural Fixative
    Ex: Vanilla, Amber, Oud/Wood, Musk
A Fixative is used in perfumery to make a perfume last longer
The reason being is because they are heavier on a molecular level. So they dissipate off the skin last. These are Base notes.
Top and Middle notes are lighter molecularly so they will have that initial pleasant scent and as the perfume dries down the scent will become fleeting leading into the longer lasting base notes

These perfumes are made with perfume oils. Just blend with perfumers alcohol and add a premade fixative
If you were building with raw perfume ingredients or essential oils. The breakdown would be something like this
      Heart: 40%. 3-4 materials. 20 drops
      Modifiers: 10%-15%. 2-3 materials 5-7 drops
      Blenders: 20%-25% 2-3 materials 10-12 drops
      Fixatives: 20%-30% 2-3 materials.

@@staynluv no. Two different things You can buy fixatives to add into the perfume. It helps the perfume last longer. The perfumers alcohol helps to spread and stabilize the Perfume oil to make it possible to spray on the clothes

I'm confused.my wife uses Sunflower. And it seems like its base note is lotus flower. Because that's the only thing I smell. Is there a way to make base notes out of middle notes?

    • @Mr.Bakhoor
      @Mr.Bakhoor  Год назад +1

Base notes are usually heavier on a molecular level. They dissipate off the skin last. I’m not to sure about sunflower oil. Never heard of using that for this. But if it works that’s awesome.
It’s all an experimentation. So just have fun with it 👍
