IMELDA PAPIN: Bagong upong director ng PCSO ||

OPM icon/hitmaker, original Jukebox Queen, former CamSur Vice-Governor and QueenStar film producer Imelda Papin reecently sponsored a thanksgiving party for the entertainment press in line with her being one of the new Board of Directors of the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO). La Papin expressed her excitement because she is back in public service and proudly stated that helping people in need comes like second skin to her. Even after her stint as Vice-Governor, she still continued helping her fellow Bicolanos in the best way she can. Mel revealed that her suggested project for PCSO is titled, "Isang Linggong Serbisyo" which is culled from her famous hit song. She will focus on helping people when it comes to medical assistance assuring that the fund will be given to the patients the shortest possible time. Interestingly, the legendary songstress admitted that she screamed when she received the invitation letter from PCSO for the oath-taking. She felt thankful because she can continue helping people in need especially showbiz workers. Spanning a career of more than four decades already, Imelda remains devoted on paying it back to the industry where she first carved a name. She assured that even if she's back in the public service arena, she will still continue singing.
