  • Charlie arrived last night for his board and train. He is here because he has bitten his owner several times and has not shown any improvement after being prescribed anti-anxiety medication. He will bite if his owner attempts to put a leash on him or even adjust his collar so she hasn’t been able to bring him outside of the house or yard since he was a puppy. He also has a habit of resource guarding bones or other high-value items and has bit his owner for coming too close to “his” things. There’s also no way of getting a brush anywhere near this ferocious fur ball so he is in need of grooming as well. This probably doesn’t add to the comfort of his collars so we will be getting some assistance from Muddy Paws Grooming to tackle this mess.
His owner has been told to euthanize him but wants to give him a fighting chance...
He has been weaned off of his pills and spent his first day at our training center. Take note of his nervous and uneasy body language. This is due to being uprooted from his kingdom and not having any experience in the real world. It’s going to be an uphill battle but we are hoping to make some serious changes.
If you are wondering how we got a muzzle on this unruly beast - it is done hands free in a crate with ropes, hooks, and plenty of patience.
