33ft spring tides here in guernsey that’s an average spring tide in jersey… I remember not long ago back home in jersey having 40.5 and 38-39 the norm .’ Great video btw keep up the good work 🎣🎣

I know this may sound like a dumb question, but why don't you keep the softshell lobsters?
Never a dumb question, when a lobster or crab changed shell it takes on water making it mushy an the meat is a lot smaller when cooked

I grew up on the east coast of Canada and have eaten hundreds of lobsters and I find that over a pound to pound and a quarter the tails get way to tough to say the are great to eat.( the claws are always good) Do the lobsters you get when they are over the pound and a half not get tough to eat? If you gave me a pound and a half plus lobster I would eat the claws and not the tail.

Have you checked this area for overflow outlets? The water companies dont even list most of them. They just dump raw sewage out and it makes shellfish and other bottom feeders unsafe to eat.
I live in jersey I’m wondering if I could do same here in jersey I love lobsters and seen your vids you catching them any advice you can give me ?
I’m sure you could do foraging over there , I’m not sure what your grounds are like but you want the biggest tides you can , and go to the waters edge an look for holes in rock or under boulders , please watch the tide tho as it’s easy to get caught out
