I passed my interview July 12. The ceremony was the same day. The officer was very nice. She eased the tension with a few jokes. The test questions were the easiest. Reading the question Who lives in the White House? She said the answer and I wrote it down. Then there were a few questions: My first and last name, date of birth, when I first came to the US, when I received my first Green Card, my husband's name and date of birth, whether I am still married to the same man, how many times I have traveled outside the US (I didn't ask for details or dates of trips, and there were 7). Then there were a few YES/NO questions. Literally less than ten questions. And then she asked if I wanted the ceremony on the same day. She congratulated me and that was it. Now I am a US citizen.
I passed my interview today, thanks to this video! (I chose it because the voice is not annoying 😂). My interview was in North Carolina. Everything went super smooth, the receptionist was super welcoming. They let people in 10 minutes before the scheduled time. I had my water bottle with me. My officer was very nice and chill, he explained everything to me very clearly, for example if I don’t know the answer to any of the civics questions I can get back to it later. I was asked: What does the Constitution do? How many U.S. Senators are there? We elect a President for how many years?Name one right only for United States citizens? What do we show loyalty to when we say the Pledge of Allegiance? I don’t remember one more but I answered everything. For writing it was “Citizens can vote.”, and I can’t remember what was for reading but it was something super easy. I did not have any issues with n-400 form, he answered “yes-no” questions pretty clearly. I also brought bunch of documents like taxes, ssn cards, my daughters birth certificate, never was asked for it. Also be aware if you decide to bring taxes!!!! You don’t need that big document with multiple pages that your tax accountant sends you, you need the one with 1-2 pages you can download from the IRS website! It saved me tons of time, and paper with ink. PS I asked my officer out of curiosity if the civics questions he asks are random or he picks it, he said it’s randomly generated. Good luck guys!
