@@TheLittleStuff Yeah, it happens to all of us. Hurts every time. It does suck though. I recently had probably my PB break me off at the boat net in hand. I saw her just like you did. Had a wacky rig on 8lb test. She snapped her head one last time and broke my line. I’m in counseling right now.
Jeff, have you experimented with the Owner 5313 hooks on your finesse jigs for a stouter hook? Just poured some and tied them up but haven’t fished them yet. Or other stouter hook recommendations?
I’ll pour on a stouter hook. I have plenty to choose from. This was an exceptionally large river largemouth. River fish have another gear. A lake largemouth probably wouldn’t have straightened the hook.
"meth lab trailer" 😂😂 I think ive watched 10 plus hours of your videos these few days jeff. Thank you for your knowledge. 🤙 Tight lines, maybe ill see you on the susqy some day
Unfortunately, that way of life is all over. River anglers see it more because we go to super remote places. We were better off when it was just “runnin’ ‘shine”!
On this particular afternoon? A few miles. Yesterday I was on my home river, the Susquehanna and went 6.1 miles up before turning around and coming back.
I love the patented, "little Rod swap" Going from active to slow presentation.
The fish change their “progression of aggression” throughout the day. It’s important to trial downshift and upshift!
@@TheLittleStuff absolutely 👍
Great Video. Love how you live in the now and current moment. It definitely translates in your videos. Good Stuff , Little Stuff. 👍
How things actually shake out is always more interesting.
Man I love your videos.
Thanks for watching!
Now that’s what you call living. You have to go back and catch that monster Jeff. Thanks for bringing us along and safe travels
A winter trip there maybe. That beast was tuned up!
Does anybody work harder or teach better? Another excellent fishing clinic! Thanks
High Noon
I’m glad that I could fit this little mini-adventure in before doing some tournament coverage video.
The agony of defeat! That was a great fish! Go get her in the morning Jeff !
It was enormous. 😢
Bummer on losing the big one. That seems to be my specialty 😂. Love these videos with you camping out and fishing in between. Thanks Jeff.
I’m not sure what I could have done differently. I am going to pour and tie some on a thicker gauge hook.

I don’t know how you sleep in that thing Jeff! I can’t sleep in a bed! Lol
It’s comfy.
Where do you get the clacker discs?
What an adventure!

If your around union, MO ill take u out to some spots!
Thanks William!
Wonder if that stand will fit my NiteCat hammock/tent🤔
It’s around 9 feet from tip to tip if that helps.
@@TheLittleStuff nice. That may work. The hammock tent is 8.9' tip to tip
me personally, I would have gone on a 5 minute string of 4-letter words, lol!
Dave, it was huge. I’ll go back there some day with a heavier gauge jig hook.

Any idea how far up river you went. Curious how much a difference a motor allows for distance in a day.

Which river did you end up picking? I've floated and fished many of those over the years.
$900 for rod tubes!?
