I actually really dig that bamboo pen! With the dip nibs, you'll almost always want to either run a flame over them for a couple of seconds, or wipe them down really well with warm soapy water... I use a flame because it's faster. They put some type of oil or wax on them to keep them from oxidizing, but it also makes ink not stick to them.
I really enjoyed this video. You bought quite an assortment. I'm not a fan of dip pens, either, but that one was particularly atrocious. Thanks for the video.
I've bought a few things for my nephew in wish but had not tried any pens yet. I got a dip pen and big a year ago that was being hyped up and it wasn't my cup of tea. Was very scratchy and ink didn't last long? Was going to use it for writing ink name on ink swatches but it got annoying to me and just sits in my deep pen storage now?

That bamboo pen with the 1.1 nib performed a lot better than expected.
