I like the idea of waterproof footwear, but I would guess that if water can't get in, it also can't get out. What are the crew's issues with sweaty feet with these shoes? A lot of people have issues with extra sweaty feet.
Quick tip, when you tie the purple straps to eachother it can only take .8 of its rated load, it says on the blue note on the strap. I would also recommend putting a rubber sleeve on it, like a bit of rubber hose or something to prevent the rocks from chewing the strap. After watched all of your episodes i know you do this with a well planned thought behind it but i just needed to get it of my chest😅 Huge fan of your channel😎
Chad Is A Rock Star !!!.....Heck, The Whole Crew Of AWOL Are Amazing !!....Thanks for another adventurous video...Keep Doing What Your Doing..Because What Your Doing Is Awesome
Thank you for representing my beautiful country in such a good manner, I hope you enjoy every time you visit croatia, especially dalmatia. Greetings to all of you and of course SuperSlav, maybe you could make some videos from his pov, or engine pov. Thanks and good luck
An algorithm is a step by step procedure used for problem solving of any issue that may come up. It is used in any situation that requires an answer for getting information and or required data. Usually it is used in solving mathematical equations, sorting information and etc. Even in your job, you use an algorithmic (step by step) procedure for docking you vessel and for undocking and departure. Another way you could look at what an algorithm is, think of it like a procedural checklist as you tick off one item at a time.
Was hoping to see Chad lift up some big rocks just because he can. Also find a crab on the shore and eat it right there and then, just because he wanted a snack.
Hello Tristan, Your channel keeps becoming better and better with every video ! SYC is always extremely interesting as well as very informative. It's quite refreshing to see you respond to a fellow subscriber's comment by actually using their idea in a video... so cool ! Have a fantastic "off season ". I realize that you will most likely stay with AWOL while she is out of the water as you continue seasonal maintenance and upgrades, ( keep those vids coming as well as they're always very interesting too !). Warmest Regards from a huge fan of your channel in Arizona.
i started watching some of your videos, its interesting to see a different aspect of the same business , I've been a captain since the 1980's, but running sport fishing boats, same business but totally different skills, my boats aren't super yachts but typically around mid 70 foot. would love to just put my hands on a docking a super yacht, looks like fun .😊
It was a lot of work for the crew, those line are very heavy. You will find it a lot less work when you get poly rope. Poly rope has a lot less strength that the nylon you used. When we shore tie we have a 10.5 foot fiberglass dinghy with a 5HP. We run it on the rocks scratch bottom . We loop back to boat idea is boat does not swing. Your way is more solid but a lot of work. Good job, organized crew and good chase boat driver for not touching the rocks
I liked the raw video. Reminds me of boating when I was younger (not that I'm old, just back when I was living with my parents) and I was the one that would have to jump in the water with the rope and find a place to attach it. Once it meant diving underwater and tying onto a huge rock about 10ft down.
Hello Tristan, Enjoying your channel. I even tried the vinegar trick with the washing. I was totally amazed. Any other tip? Stop streaks when cleaning windows, polishing silver etc.
Are those straps around the rocks 1 metric tonne straps? Usually purple stands for 1 metric tonne when using slings etc. Although it can be different colors. Just want you to be safe. Thank you for good videos!
That person pulling the chase boat was like watching fishermen catching a marlin on TV. Did anyone else think there was a dogs on that island, but they censored his bad word with a dog bark. 😂😂😂 When he said he was going to have to find a rock to tie the boat line to, I actually thought he was going to be spending a good portion of the video searching for big rocks and carrying them to the beach to tie the line to. I did not realize the beach was one giant rock. Algorithm is quite simple code they put into their system to track legitimate viewers by having them like and leave a comment, that tells the algorithm that this person is an actual human and not a bot and the more real people that algorithm detects, the more it will suggest your channel to other people and the other reason they want to know I’m a human and not a bot, because they sell ad space on your channel or RUclips channels and if everyone was a bot, then the advertiser wouldn’t be getting any customers. Think of how when you go into a website where you have to login and it asks you if you’re a robot and then it makes you do a simple task, because robots can’t do that. Once they can, they will change the coding to make the process difficult for robots. The government big corporations like Facebook, RUclips, Twitter use algorithms to search out key words you type into your phone, computer, on social networking sites to know what you are looking to purchase. That’s why when you search socks online and some people say if you speak about something to a friend at work, a get together your ads are suddenly all about that thing you searched for. That’s as long as that thing isn’t something inappropriate. The government, all governments use algorithms that search out certain words, key phrases, certain language, certain books etc. then if the computer finds these things then they have a human do more in-depth search into your life. Algorithm works great for corporations others wise they’d need to hire people to spend 24-7 searching out this info and that’s impossible and highly expensive. Humans have some the computer programming in their heads, but you couldn’t go through millions and millions of words searching for a small group of words. Pick a few words like spider, mouse and windmill and then grab a 500 page book and search for just those three words and then think about having to do that with hounds of different words, different languages, so on and so forth. Sorry for the rant on algorithms
So first thing ,fender in stern platform when pulling the tender. Second it’s not a job for only one guy to pull the tender and then hold the ropes alone when boat is correcting. And third most crucial , drop the anchor go backwards attach the line on the mother ship give wanted line (drop) to the tender and drive the line to the shore . Much more easier and with no so much possibility to damage boat or tender. We are doing this in Croatia in 10minutes max time.If you have stronger wind or waves at sea it will be impossible to do like this . It’s a constructive critic from experienced yachtie from Croatia 🙏😇
Great job with your channel and Vlogs. as a professional photographer you are a natural for videogyraphy. I thoroughly enjoy your vlogs and have learned alot about super yachting. Really hope i win the contest , so i can meet you and enjoy the charter. I need new Photos, lolol Brit, Brinton Cresse
@@SuperYachtCaptain I would be more than happy to teach you some of the simple basics that i've used to help a friend who was trying to break into scenic photography. He was very confused until I showed him the simple basics, I learned in 4 years of commercial art training back in the 70s. lololo Now he his selling and |I am buying his work for my own photographic collection. I could actually see your cruises promoting charters and personal experiences through photos from charters. I will be buying tickets for your cruise until sold out.! Looking forward to many more vlogs. Brit Brinton Cresse
Hi There I was just Hit up To Charter a Super Yate For next summer . That Being Said if I was going to Get to Charter A Yate There is only One I would feel Safe on and That would Be (AWOL) .THANK YOU for Giving us an on-site to The world of the Super Yate.
What is the tidal change in the area you anchor? Do you have to take that into account related to the amount of line you have out? When we anchor and tie the stern to shore in British Columbia we can have a tidal variation of nearly 20 feet.
Is this done simply to keep the vessel pointed in one direction while anchored, rather than using just the main anchor which allows the boat to float around 360 degrees and point in any direction?
How do you exercise while on charter or during the charter months in general? Is the work enough to keep you fit or do you go for swims? I guess it isn't the easiest to find a place to run on AWOL haha
Thank you for the suggestion! We do have a sizing chart on our website within our FAQ that has EU sizes! But if you need any help with UK sizes specifically, please do not hesitate to message our support team support@vessi.com
Thanks again to Vessi! Use my code SYC to get $25 off using my link www.vessi.com/superyachtcaptain

Awesome Video, When does Tristan Rear Boat Baby Bumpers come into reality?
Except you can't buy them if you're in the UK? That's helpful.

Such a pleasure to watch an experienced crew perform!
I really like the raw footage! And I think being the chase boat captain has to be the best job!
Great vlog - love when we get to see a true "day in the life" view. 👍👍
Thanks to the whole crew for sharing. 🙂
Always good to see the Captain, but the "away mission" was pretty awesome.

In this case the raw footage is a better experience than an edited piece. Thx for taking the gamble, it paid off.
Thank you Captain. I think it was me that asked for this closer look. Appreciate the follow up. Also, Vessi needs some 14 sizes. :-) Cheers !
Will make sure to share this request with our team ☺

Thank you for this video, its amazing to see what its like from crew perspective. Looking forward to more videos like this :)
Yesssss, this is the stuff! (except the music😂)
Interesting, Thank You. Thank You for showing the crew in action

Is the strap nylon? Wouldn’t chain make more sense when tying to rocks or other abrasive points? Chain spliced to spectra?

I sure hope Chad makes a great wage, he sure deserves it! Lived the video...

A great insight to the crew tasks when tying to a rock in Croatia
Hello Tristan,
Enjoying your channel. I even tried the vinegar trick with the washing. I was totally amazed.
Any other tip?
Stop streaks when cleaning windows, polishing silver etc.
Great video. Enjoyed the raw footage.
I love the unedited video! I wish I would have seen this video last year so I could have bought chances on the AWOL vacation!!!
Well done. Sometimes uncut gives the true experience. Thanks
Need a fender on rear to stop the chase boat damaging your bathing platform....
I was thinking they could do with some of those 3/4 barrel jetty fenders and temp fix to platform or ladder fenders on side of chase boat.
Are those straps around the rocks 1 metric tonne straps? Usually purple stands for 1 metric tonne when using slings etc. Although it can be different colors. Just want you to be safe. Thank you for good videos!
Very informative. Great effort by the crew and please keep making these segmentsfrom time to time 👍
As a former alpinist familiar with 1” webbing, a little surprised that’s the “weak link” in rock tie up, but must be sufficient.
i would go crazy with this music on all the time when you are in such great nature.
Great Channel, Thank you for the new content and consistent uploads.
Couldn’t not even make the line Nice 👍🏼 let’s continue
I actually prefer these uncut videos
Excellent video thanks for posting

Thank you Brit, best of luck with the contest. If you win, I hope to learn a thing or two about photography.

Always interesting like usual my friend in the Tristan wishing you a good and safe down the season and covid free in vacation as well
That was fascinating, especially loved the floss dance cameo.
Krásný video!
The remake of Electric Feel by MGMT around 13:45 -14 minute area of the video is really good not as good as the original but not bad!!

Great crew who know what they are doing.
I don’t see the garage bay for the tender on the mini-yacht. Is there even space for it or do you tug it behind underway???
Did you only tie up with the two points on the rock, or did you put down an anchor as well?
Great Video thanks for showing it to us.
Liked and Subscribed. Enjoyed watching the Axopar 37 ST work.
Really enjoyed the video . 1 question though why not use the winch to recover the chase boat , I think it would save chad the up coming hernia .
That strap around the rock seems super sketchy. It seems it would chaff through with any wind or movement, especially holding AWOL?
Loved it! Great job crew!
Very nice. Thank you and be safe.
Do you not have to put warning flags on the rope going from boat to shore ? So as to warn other boaters who might drive past your stern ?
I really liked it thanks guys! Very interesting.
Chad is the man!
What's on your upper lip? LOL Another great video, Captain Tristan.
Also the best knots to tie and what you use them for?
I liked it! It was interesting for sure!
I like the raw styles
Tristan where did you get the anchor straps from for the Med lines? Just what I need!
Can we vote on the mustache?
Great video Loved it !!!
How do you exercise while on charter or during the charter months in general? Is the work enough to keep you fit or do you go for swims? I guess it isn't the easiest to find a place to run on AWOL haha
point of view was good
Looked at the vessi shoes and they look nice, but they only do US sizes. They'd help themselves if they allowed you to select UK sizes.
Thank you for the suggestion! We do have a sizing chart on our website within our FAQ that has EU sizes! But if you need any help with UK sizes specifically, please do not hesitate to message our support team support@vessi.com
Love this blog ,many thanks for the in site, stay safe
I really really loved this video. In felt I was there. A by stressful but good.
Awesome! I love it!
A matter of time the guy on the chase boat will run into the rocks in Croatia!
Don’t think the dirt on your top lip does you any favours 👎 But loved the rock tying off video ...... great 👍
how do you avoid other boats props from hitting lines in water from rock to boat?
Really fascinating, thanks
Very cool video. Very interesting and a job well done. FYI, you have a smudge on you lip. Ha!
I prefer the raw videos like these
great video enjoyed it very informative !
fascinating... thanks for posting!
I see a couple of dings on the chase boat hatch up front, what happened there? Also time to trim that Caterpillar off your face....lol
Can you make a vid of bullet throwing a ling when you guys dock i want to see why you guys call him bullet and love the vids
Make Chad Bosun !!!!
Comfort bus driving at see, not the racer, nor the heavy haul. Might be a bit boring ;-)
Great video!
Everything is so much harder with a huge yacht
You should make a 1 hour video
Great video
Have no idea what they are doing. What do you mean tying to a rock or did I misunderstand?
Do you cruise the Greek Islands?
Algorithm, is how the brain works and remembers, such as when you smell BBQ chicken, all of a sudden you are hungry., just made for computer's. .
very very interesting, but I'd rather be a guest
Why all the 90 degree kinks in the rope? That is ruined for ropes I am familiar with.
Cool! Amazed the tie off is just like with my 20ft fishing boat. Same worries etc. Much better equipment on your yacht. (Go figure.)
How do I enter the raffle?
Ahhh is that a caterpilar on your top lip....
HA HA on mustache..... you look like Inspector Jacques Clouseau from the Pink Panther. 🤣🤣🤣
all this sponsored content makes me sign off.
It supports the channel to buy more camera equipment.
They didn't put on the safety Lights!
hi would like to see when you took down the mast with the crane
