Thank you. At 5:57, the pattern of Pseudohyperplastic Ca is a bit difficult to understand. On pure H&E, it looks b9/ a PIN/ at best, ATYP.. Are there any specific pointers here, please? is it the IHC which clinched the dx...TIA.
I agree that pseudo hyperplastic prostate cancer can easily mimic as benign prostate. There are several other cancer variations that if you don’t pay close attention can also easily mimic as benign prostate. I plan to do a separate presentation on this topic at some point. Basically you look at the overall architectural, cytoplasmic and cytoplasm details. I would advise you to refer to my dummies guide to prostate cancer diagnosis talk for further clarifications. One point that I like to make is that one should not make a diagnosis of this entity based on presence of few glands! I hope this gives you some watt explanation for your question. Hopefully I can do a video on this topic it near future. Thank you for your question
